Robyn Brown Reveals Solomon’s Potentially Deadly Health Condition
An old Sister Wives clip featuring Robyn Brown opening up about her son Solomon’s potentially deadly health condition resurfaced on Reddit recently. Turns out, Solomon was very nearly admitted to the hospital when he was younger with RSV. Robyn admitted that her history with pneumonia and his history with RSV made them extra cautious about COVID out of concern for their weakened lungs.
What is RSV, anyway?
When Solomon was younger, he suffered from RSV. According to Robyn, it was bad enough that he nearly ended up in the hospital. She also explained that it weakened his lungs putting him at an increased risk of complications if he caught COVID. But, what is RSV?
According to the CDC, RSV is a “common respiratory virus that usually causes mild, cold-like symptoms.” The CDC goes on to report that most people who contract RSV recover in two weeks. The condition, however, can be serious for infants and adults. Furthermore, there is evidence to suggest RSV can cause long-term effects in children including wheezing and asthma.
Robyn Brown did tell fans she reached out to Solomon’s doctor to address her concerns about his history with RSV and the potential of catching COVID.
Was Robyn Brown just being dramatic?
Now, there are a lot of threads on Reddit about Robyn Brown discussing Solomon having RSV. A year ago, one fan noted Robyn was “dramatic about everything.” Turns out, a lot of fans didn’t care for the way she said “within minutes he was almost admitted to the hospital.” Sister Wives fans thought she made a mountain out of a molehill because he wasn’t actually severe enough to be admitted to the hospital.
Robyn and Kody Brown hypocritical about COVID?
Sister Wives fans want to be sympathetic about Robyn’s children and COVID-19. But, they didn’t understand why it was acceptable for Kody to travel from house to house. Fans questioned if the couple believed Kody was immune to the virus. Likewise, fans pointed out that Robyn and Kody have been spotted out on the town several times during the pandemic. So, fans question if the concern for COVID was just a storyline for the series.
