In the next episode, which premieres on Tuesday, May 24, fans will get to witness Zach push himself and overcome many barriers in his way. The father of three isn’t letting anything stand in his way and wants to show his kids that they can do anything, too, regardless of their size.
So, what has Zach done, and how can fans see him do it?
LPBW: Zach Roloff takes on a tremendous feat.
On Monday, May 23, People shared an exclusive preview of the Tuesday, May 24 episode of Little People, Big World. In the clip, Zach is showing off his powerlifting skills. He’s a part of the Hardcore Barbell Weightlifting Competition. In this competition, he must complete the bench press, deadlift, and back squat.
Three judges will be watching Zach as he squats 385 pounds. He says, “If I lift it, I’ve beaten the record by four lbs.” Two of the three judges must approve the squat.
Amy Roloff’s husband, Chris Marek, is impressed by Zach’s feat. In the LPBW clip, Chris says, “It’s impressive to watch anyone to lift that much weight. Also to see someone Zach’s size. It’s even much more impressive. That’s gotta be sending a good message to Jackson, that size doesn’t matter. And Zach is leading a great example.”
Upon accomplishing this, Zach says, “I was pretty stoked. This is the end of a really long journey of working out and getting to this moment. I was really excited!”
As we reported, another clip from this episode shows that Zach had to be put on a strict diet ahead of this challenge. To compete in his desired weight class, he needed to lose a couple more pounds overnight. Sadly, this meant turning down a steak dinner his wife had prepared. But it looks like it all paid off.
