‘Jeopardy!’ Fans Can’t Stand Giggly Mayim Bialik
Jeopardy! fans can’t stand giggly Mayim Bialik. They’ve been airing their grievances about the guest host all week long. As TV Shows Ace previously reported, they want Ken Jennings back. He announced that he’s taking a hiatus, but he will return before the end of this season.
Bialik returned to the podium this week. She’s been met with more backlash than ever before. Fans have criticized her for her hosting style. They think she changes up the pace of the show and doesn’t follow the rules. Read on to see why else they don’t like Bialik’s way of hosting.
Did contestant Daniel Nguyen make a costly mistake?
It was previously reported that recent Jeopardy! champ Daniel Nguyen made a costly mistake. During the final round earlier this week, he incorrectly answered a clue about a rapper “From Queens.” The correct response for the $800 clue was 50 Cent, whose real name is Curtis James Jackson III.
Nguyen responded, “Who is 50 Cents?” Mayim Bialik didn’t accept his response. Fans took to Twitter to mock him for his response. Nguyen ended up losing the round. Yet, they applauded Bialik for playing by the rules.
Mayim Bialik accidentally leaks the answers
Recently, Jeopardy! fans accused Bialik of leaking the answers. It all started when she posted a make-up-free photo of herself on Instagram. In her hand, she held several rolled-up papers. Without saying anything at all, Bialik teased fans that she was filming more episodes of Jeopardy!
Some of them noticed that she had the materials for the episodes which aired. One fan took to Reddit to accuse Bialik of leaking the answers. They recognized three responses, including the final Jeopardy! for an upcoming episode. The producers and hosts work hard to prevent leaks from happening.
Meanwhile, other fans think Bialik is “unfit” to be a host. They don’t like the way she changes up the game. While she plays by the rules, there are times when she’ll accept an incomplete answer. Now, fans think her behavior is like that of a schoolteacher.
Mayim Bialik gets the giggles
In the latest episode of Jeopardy!, Bialik laughed at Nguyen for another “embarrassing” error he made. Popular music has not been his strongest suit. Nguyen to a clue about the pop-punk band Panic! at the Disco. On the Friday, May 13 episode of Jeopardy!, a clip showed the band performing on stage at the Billboard Music Awards.
Nguyen had the Jonas Brothers on his mind. Bialik giggled along with the chuckling studio audience as she said, “No.” Twitter fans aren’t happy with her reaction. They wanted to know why everyone laughed at Nguyen on national TV. Others claim Bialik was rude to the contestant.
“I can’t stand Mayim! I feel like I’m being lectured by an assistant professor at a third-rate college!” one fan wrote.
Another fan said she’s “too rehearsed” despite having the giggles. Some viewers found the humor in Nguyen’s costly mistake. Some even assumed it was the Jonas Brothers. Regardless, Nguyen is still the current reigning champion with a two-day streak and total winnings of $25,199.

Mayim…..stick with Call Me Kat….love it!!! you dont fit on jeopardy…..
She is simply a bad fit. Her demeanor is totally silly, self-promoting, arrogant, everything unprofessional. Also, her interaction with the contestants is abrupt, rude and uncaring.
Sony has made a horrendous mistake keeping her on. At this time, we are not tuning in.
Not watching while this sad excuse for a host is on Jeopardy.
Horrible. She’s acting at being a game show host and doing a terrible acting job. Why can’t she stand still? Ken is an excellent host but out of all of the tryout hosts I thought Buzzy was the best.
She’s verbally dull – she’s constantly verbalizing with too many words the obvious next steps of the game that we of course already know. She smiles too much. She looks like Groucho Marx. Ken was perfect – witty, urbane, etc.
Jeopardy should replace the interview segment with three live successive close-ups of each contestant, and have J. Gilbert tell 1-2 interesting things about each, with the host quickly commenting about one of the contestant’s reveals on the back-end. See?
