‘The Kardashians’: Fans Beg Family To Ditch Duck Lips, Not Cute?

The Kardashians became one of the first to do duck lips. However, fans are begging them to ditch the look. They think it’s not cute anymore, especially as they’re getting older.

This comes on the heels of the Met Gala. For the first time in the event’s history, Kim Kardashian, Kendall Jenner, and Kylie Jenner attended the event with Kris Jenner, Kourtney Kardashian, and Khloe Kardashian. Anna Wintour, editor-in-chief of Vogue magazine, extended the invitation to the other family members.

Kim and Khloe were caught doing duck lips at the regal event. Yet, fans think they should’ve given it up a long time ago.

Did the Kardashians invent duck lips?

Duck lips (also known as duck face) is a pose that was well-known on the former social media site MySpace. Famous people like the Kardashians would press their lips together and pout while sucking in their cheeks. Khloe Kardashian claimed she invented the selfie pout long before people called them “duck lips.”

On an old episode of Keeping Up with the Kardashians, Kylie and Khloe snapped selfies together in Kris’ kitchen. Check out the video for yourself below. Both of them look strikingly different in the old clip. Kris walked into the kitchen while the sisters were taking pictures and called out their funny lips.

Khloe made it clear that she already knows how to do duck lips. She claims that she invented the “Khloe lips” before they became “duck lips” and “the duck took them.” Khloe and Kylie went back to snapping photos of themselves in the kitchen. Check out the clip for yourself in the video below.

However, Khloe isn’t the only Kardashian who makes duck lips. Kim Kardashian is also notorious when it comes to giving the duck lip pose. She’s been doing it a lot more while taking photos with her boyfriend Pete Davidson. She includes a pair of peace signs with her signature pose.

Fans want them to stop

Even if the Kardashians are the queen of duck lips, the fans want them to stop. Earlier this week, one fan took to Reddit to share a photo of Khloe and Kim doing duck lips at the Met Gala. Check out the photo for yourself here.

“It is possible for this family to take a photo without duck lips!?! How about smiling. Leave the duck lips to the high school girls! SMH,” the user wrote. Other fans took to the thread to share their thoughts. They think it’s part of the reason why they still act young. It’s because they want to come across as young.

• “They really want to avoid any more wrinkles, they need an episode where they act their age.”
• “It’s all they know. Like literally, that’s it.”
