Kris Jenner boasted about the major vehicle purchases she made during the pandemic. Kardashian fans are calling her out once again for being “out of touch.” The famous matriarch has received her share of criticism over the past few weeks alone. She most recently received backlash for the lavish dinner she hosted on Easter Sunday.

The spread included towers of cakes, cupcakes, and candies, among other things. While fans agreed that everything looked beautiful, they couldn’t help but think how wasteful the party was. They wondered if the Kardashian-Jenner clan threw out the food afterward rather than giving it to those in need.

Kris Jenner buys big during the pandemic

In a resurfaced episode from Keeping Up with the Kardashians on E!, Kris Jenner boasted about her lavish purchases. She revealed she wanted to buy three new Ferraris at the start of the COVID-19 pandemic. The segment first aired in 2020 and showed her shopping at the Ferrari dealership.

Kris Jenner seemed concerned only about her needs. She was on the market for three new customizable vehicles as COVID death cases started to rise in the country. Kris invited her daughter Kendall Jenner and her boyfriend, Corey Gamble. She sternly advised her daughter to “wash her hands” at the dealership.

Fans are flabbergasted over the scene. They couldn’t believe “the audacity” of Kris Jenner, who seemed careless about the new pandemic and the economic turmoil. Season 19 of KUWTK was filmed in 2020. It was split into two seasons. Keeping Up With the Kardashians Season 19, Episode 4 opened with the following information: “the U.S. has now surpassed 100 cases of COVID-19.”

Since January 2019, the COVID-19 pandemic is responsible for 991,788 deaths and 81.1 million infections in the U.S., per CNN. The repeat episode shows Kris Jenner more concerned with giving everyone a car. She admitted that she wanted to add one more to her garage.

All three of them had Ferraris on the brain. Corey couldn’t stop talking about the new SF90, which he compared to an “Apple laptop but Ferrari style.” Kris Jenner revealed that she wanted to design three cars: one for her, one for Corey, and one for Kendall. She then advised Kendall not to shake the car dealer’s hand.

Old KUWTK episode causes controversy

In that same scene, Kris Jenner noted that she was aware of the virus as she put money down for three new Ferraris. According to Car and Driver, the Ferrari SF90 Spider was released to the market in 2021. At the time, it started at $500,000. Three vehicles would amount to $1.5 million without the customizations.

One Kardashian fan took to Reddit to call Kris Jenner out for flaunting her wealth amid the pandemic. They titled the thread, “The audacity.” That same user wrote a recap of the scene so others could comment on it. One called the Kardashian-Jenner clan “delusional messy folks,” while another found the episode “gross and offensive.”

The family received their share of backlash for the way they behaved during the pandemic. Kim Kardashian got most of it when she flew 40 of her closest friends and family members to a private island for her 40th birthday in late 2020. Kris Jenner has already been slammed for being “rude” to her personal driver on the new episode of The Kardashians on Hulu.
