Did Lala Kent Shade James Kennedy’s New Girl?

Lala Kent clarified the comments she made about James Kennedy’s new girlfriend. Fans think she shaded her during her appearance on Watch What Happens Live earlier this month. The Give Them Lala founder told host Andy Cohen that they only met “once” and that she doesn’t “remember it well.”

Fans took that comment as shade. They think Lala tried to make it sound like Ally Weber was “unforgettable.” Lala and James are good friends and have been for years. Though their friendship has been through its share of ups and downs, Lala maintains that she doesn’t harbor any ill will towards him and his new lady.

Lala Kent backtracks on her comments

Lala Kent explained the statements she made on WWHL. On Thursday, April 21, she attended the grand opening of Lisa Vanderpump’s Vanderpump à Paris. She caught up with Us Weekly to explain herself. She revealed how she really feels about James’ new partner.

“I didn’t call her unforgettable. I said I didn’t remember a lot of our interaction and I think that’s because it was so fast,” Lala Kent told Us Weekly. “So I feel badly that it came across that way because that’s not how I meant it.”

She couldn’t remember their conversation even though she is sober. Lala went on to describe Ally as being “really kind” when they first met. She also claims not to be on the outs with her friend. James already knows how his Vanderpump Rules co-star feels about his new girlfriend.

“I only met her once, and the thing is, James even knows — he’s our little crazy friend that we love so much — he is a good picker,” Lala Kent said. “He picks really sweet girls.”

She gave James her seal of approval. As fans know, Lala has befriended Raquel, even after Raquel ended her engagement to James. Lala and Raquel shocked fans when they appeared together in an ad campaign for Give Them Lala Beauty’s new “Bambi Eyed B****” makeup palette. The former enemies have since set their differences aside.

Vanderpump Rules Season 10 to focus on the singles?

Lala Kent also shared her thoughts on Pump Rules Season 10. She would love it if it focused on the newly single cast members. Lala, Raquel, Katie Maloney, and Tom Schwartz are back on the market. However, she’s unsure how that would work out among them.

“Obviously, with Katie, it won’t be weird because that’s my ride or die so I’m down for her no matter what,” Lala Kent said. “With James and Raquel, that’ll be a different dynamic. I don’t know. I guess we’ll see what happens.”
