Are fans of 1000-Lb. Sisters finally fed up with Tammy Slaton and Amy Halterman?

The Slaton sisters have been featured on TLC’s 1000-Lb. Sisters for three seasons now.  What is causing fans of the show to call for its cancelation? Could it be Tammy’s apathy or Amy’s lack of progress? Continue reading to see why viewers think TLC should drop the show.

Why ‘1000-Lb. Sisters’ Fans Are Calling For The Show To Be Canceled

Season 3 of 1000-Lb. Sisters came to a rather dramatic end. Even though she’d lost enough for weight loss surgery, Amy was told that her fitness journey had come to a plateau. Tammy’s health situation continued to spiral downwards too. In the Season 3 finale, Tammy was rushed to the hospital because she wasn’t able to breathe. Eventually, a tube was installed in her throat to assist her with breathing.

Because of the recent weight gain, some fans believe TLC should cancel the show. Since the dramatic season finale, both sisters have shared that they are still having trouble losing more weight. Viewers think that returning to reality TV would hinder both sisters’ progress. At this point, with the health implications they are facing, it becomes a question of ethics.

In a post on Reddit, one viewer said, “Tlc is basically egging on her death and nobody raises any real ethical concerns.” Some people have also speculated that the network has enabled toxic relationships in Tammy’s life as well. Without the exposure from 1000-Lb. Sisters, people believe Tammy wouldn’t have met ex-boyfriends who really enabled her food addiction.

Right now, Amy is preparing for the birth of her second child. Tammy, on the other hand, has checked in to a rehab facility to lose weight and regain her ability to breathe on her own. Continuing the show could hamper any personal progress they are seeing.

The sisters have shared small life updates on social media, but much of their lives remain a mystery. This is because the next season of the TLC show is still up in the air. Revealing anything about their lives might be a breach of contract. That is only true if there is going to be a fourth season of 1000-Lb. Sisters though.

Will There Be A Season 4?

Many fans of the show are desperate to learn how Amy Halterman and Tammy Slaton are doing, but they don’t want to exploit their health to have a TV show to watch. One Redditor stated that they hoped the show got canceled.

Tammy has started answering questions on TikTok. Followers who have inquired about Season 4 have gotten loose confirmation that it’s still happening. While Tammy has eluded to the next installment of 1000-Lb. Sisters multiple times, filming has not yet begun and it hasn’t been announced by the network.

Are viewers finally fed up with Amy Halterman and Tammy Slaton? Should 1000-Lb. Sisters get canceled?
