What Is Happening In Season 3?
What are some of the details? In the latest season of the Deadliest Catch spinoff, Josh and Casey have to deal with a 3,000-pound weekly quota of fish. Although Captain Josh, Captain Casey, and Jeff Silva have been using Captain Phil’s maps and information to tap the potential of the late F/V Cornelia Marie captain’s dream, they still need help. The demand is causing a lot of stress.
This is not just a fishing journey. This is has been a personal journey. Throughout Deadliest Catch: Bloodline, Josh has tried to follow in his father’s footsteps. Those are some pretty big shoes.
However, something is haunting Josh every step of the way. He is constantly reminded of his estranged older half-brother, Shane. Shane knew much more about their father’s early years of fishing in the 1980s. Josh was not yet born. Therefore, a piece of a puzzle remains a mystery to him.
Although Josh and Shane grew up close, and as true brothers, things changed when Phil was divorced. After Captain Phil remarried, Shane and Josh drifted apart. Can they allow bygones to be bygones?
This is an unbelievable opportunity for Shane to join Josh, Casey, and Jeff. Moreover, their fishing adventure could give them a big payday, and rebuild their brotherly bond in the process.
As the two brothers bond, they uncover more clues about Captain Phil’s time in the 1980s. During this time, Captain Phil lived in Louisiana, and his legendary boat, the F/V Cornelia Marie was being built.
That means that they are leaving Hawaii, to head to the Gulf Coast for more clues to Captain Phil’s legacy. While there, they find a man who knew Phil and helped build the F/V Cornelia Marie. There, they learn that Phil intended on starting his own fishing operation based out of Louisiana.
Now the question remains whether or not Captain Phil’s sons can pick up the trail decades later and finish what their father started.
