WWE NXT: 3 Must-See Moments
Ciampa’s final warning
Since 2015, Tommaso Ciampa has been one of the building blocks of WWE NXT. A former tag team champion and two-time NXT Champion, Ciampa has stuck with the brand when many others left. In recent weeks, the status of Ciampa’s future has been the topic of conversation. Ciampa addressed his future earlier this month but was cut off and attacked by Tony D’Angelo. As he’s done in the past, Ciampa sat in a chair in the back of the Capital Wrestling Center and spoke his mind. Ciampa praised the fans and promised he’d give it his all at Stand & Deliver. Standing up, Ciampa revealed the writing on the back of the chair reading his start date (9/22/15) and the date of Stand & Deliver.
Dolph’s championship promise
One of the most shocking moments for WWE NXT this year was when Dolph Ziggler and Robert Roode appeared from the Raw brand. Within weeks, Ziggler found himself in the title picture and pulled off the upset win in an NXT Championship match. Since Ziggler won the title in a triple threat match, he’s been riding on cloud nine. During this week’s NXT 2.0, Ziggler appeared in a video package where he listed his career accomplishments and vowed to continue to do so on the brand. Ziggler noted that many are predicting Bron Breakker to regain the title at Stand & Deliver, but promised that wouldn’t be the case.
Last Chance Qualifier
Ladder Match Set
In the main event of WWE NXT 2.0, three superstars battled to see who would fill the remaining spot in the Ladder Match this weekend. At Stand & Deliver, Carmello Hayes will defend his North American Championship in a Ladder Match in a contest that could streal the show. Cameron Grimes, A-Kid, and Roderick Strong all received a second chance to fill the vacant spot. As expected, the match was back and forth with all three competitors giving it their all. In the end, Grimes hit the Cave-In on Strong to get the win. As the show came to a close, all six participants brawled in front of a red hot crowd.
