Carlin Bates Shares First Sibling Moment With Big Sister Layla & Baby Brother Zade
Bringing Up Bates star Carlin Bates shared a heartwarming moment between her daughter, Layla, and her baby brother, Zade. After Zade was born this weekend, he met his big sister. Stick around to see the adorable first between the new siblings.
In case you missed the news, Carlin and her husband, Evan Stewart, welcomed their second child to the world on Sunday, March 27. On Monday, March 28, they revealed his name is Zade Patrick. It sounds like both mom and baby are doing well now and will be heading home shortly. In the meantime, Carlin, Evan, and Zade have had lots of visitors in the hospital.
Carlin and Evan’s first child, Layla, is two years old. Layla hasn’t been able to go visit Zade in the hospital just yet. But they met over FaceTime and shared a very sweet moment together.
Carlin Bates shares a sweet new video of the siblings.
On her Instagram stories on Monday, March 28, Carlin shared a screenshot from her FaceTime call with Layla. She wrote, “We called Layla Bug tonight so she could talk to her new baby brother…”
Then, Carlin shared an Instagram Reel, which features the recording of Layla and Zade meeting. In the video, Layla seems very excited and proudly calls Zade “baby brother.”
Carlin wrote, “Big sis telling her new baby brother goodnight for the first time…🥺 I can’t wait to watch them become besties 🥰”
At the end of the call, Layla says, “Night night.” She also blows her brother and parents kisses through the phone.

Hopefully, Carlin, Evan, and Zade will be able to leave the hospital soon and the siblings will get to meet in person. Carlin will probably have lots of sweet videos to share as they become buddies.
