Pregnant Carlin Bates and her husband, Evan Stewart, are sharing a big update with fans. She’s getting closer to the end of her pregnancy. Is it finally time? Is the Bringing Up Bates star in labor?
In case you missed the news, Carlin and Evan are expecting their second child! The couple already shares one daughter, Layla Rae, who is two years old. Now, a little boy will be joining the family. Since announcing her pregnancy, Carlin has kept fans up to date with lots of photos and videos.
Most recently, Carlin Bates and Evan Stewart have been talking about their baby’s name. His middle name is Patrick, which is a family name on Evan’s side. But they are waiting to select a first name until they meet him.
A few days ago, at Carlin’s doctor’s appointment, she learned that she was three centimeters dilated.

In a new Instagram post on Sunday, March 27, Carlin and Evan shared a big update with fans. This big news came first thing in the morning, around 9:30 a.m EST.
They revealed that they are at the hospital! The couple posted a photo of Carlin Bates in a hospital bed in a gown. She excitedly wrote, “IT’S BABY TIME 👶🏼 We’ve made it through triage at 6cm, and they’ve moved us to a labor and delivery room… 🥳”
Naturally, fans are very excited and are commenting well wishes for the growing family. One fan sweetly writes, “Beautiful Mama, sending all the well wishes!”
Carlin’s sister-in-law, Whitney Bates, comments, “SO EXCITED!!!”
Katie Bates Clark chimed in that she’s “So excited 😍😍😍” and also called her sister “gorgeous.” Josie Bates Balka commented, “Yayyy.”
