Hallmark’s new Mahogany Label has announced their first movie, Unthinkably Good Things. Moreover, this movie stars award-winning actress Karen Pittman (And Just Like That, The Morning Show, Yellowstone).
Other stars include Erica Ash (Real Husbands Of Hollywood, The Outlaw Johnny Black), Joyful Drake (Chasing Waterfalls, Let’s Stay Together), Lance Gross (House of Payne, Our Kind Of People), and Jermaine Love (Lucifer, Beyond).
Cas Sigers-Beedles (Sugar Plum Twist, Scheme Queens) wrote the script. Terri J. Vaughn (A Merry Switchmas, Tales) is the director.

Hallmark has just started filming a new movie in Italy. According to IMDb, Hallmark Movies And Mysteries’ first Mahogany Label movie, Unthinkably Good Things centers around Allison (Pittman).
Living in Tuscany, Alison is dealing with making some major changes in both her career and her love life. Therefore, her two best friends, Melina (Drake), and Reese (Ash) visit her.
The reunion in beautiful Italy is transformative. Despite their different personalities and views of life, each woman is trying to figure out what they want to keep and how they want to transform.
This movie is currently filming in Italy.
What Is Hallmark’s Mahogany Label?
For over three decades, Hallmark’s Mahogany cards have been around. However, last year, the new CEO, Wonya Lucas decided to transform the Mahogany cards brand to the television screen.
According to Variety, Lucas wants to create that “same feeling of representation to the small screen.”
The Crown Media CEO explained, “When I look at Mahogany cards, I can clearly say to myself, ‘They see me.'”
It has a very distinctive voice, and it also has breadth. It represents the Black experience in many ways — from family to love to sisterhood — which is so important to Black women — to loss or trials and tribulations. [It represents] our journey.
Toni Judkins, Crown Media’s Senior VP of Programming and Development was asked by Lucas to spearhead this new label. Immediately, Judkins’ response was, “You had me at Mahogany.”
However, she succinctly explained their intention of how Hallmark will transform the Mahogany brand into a Hallmark movie.
We’re going to take every amazing rich, lush thing that the Mahogany card brand is, and use that as a jumping-off point to create great made-for-TV movies.

Karen Pittman Thrilled To Be In Mahogany Premiere Movie
The Mahogany label is kicking off with Unthinkably Good Things. Subsequently, the star of the movie, Karen Pittman went to Instagram to share her excitement over Hallmark’s first Mahogany label venture.
She wrote, “I couldn’t be more proud and excited to be working with @hallmarkmahogany @kroniclemedia @cattleya_produzione on @cassigers “Unthinkably Good Things,” directed by @terrijvaughn and starring some truly incredible artists including @theericaash @joyfuldrake and @lucasetaofficial.”
