Alex Johnston Overcomes Horrible Fear While Cameras Roll
7 Little Johnstons star Alex Johnston is smashing his fears! He admits that he has a major fear, but there’s a lot on the line if he doesn’t overcome it. Amid the pressure, Alex is able to push through and crush his fear of heights.
In a clip from a new episode of 7 Little Johnstons, Alex is forced to face his fears. As part of his broadcast class, Alex must help out in the press box at a football game. However, he’s afraid of heights and has a difficult time getting to the top. Thanks to his family’s TLC show, fans got to see Alex take on the challenge and tackle his fear of heights.
Alex Johnston takes on an incredible feat to overcome his fears.
On a new episode of TLC’s 7 Little Johnstons, Alex gets brave and is ready to take on one of his fears. TLC shared the clip on social media, teasing, “The cameras are rolling…and Alex faces one of his fears!”
In the clip, the Johnston family is attending a football game, which is where he needs to be in the press box. Alex says, “I have to admit I was getting a little nervous seeing how high up to get on top of the press box because I really don’t do too well with heights. And like the thought that I wouldn’t get the 100 grade for doing this, like that’s what also pushed myself.”
As Alex Johnston climbed the ladder to the press box, he said bye to his family. Alex struggles a bit on the ladder because the steps are far apart from each other and they are slippery. He gets some assistance from his broadcast teacher, Susan Little. She says that he’s the first little person to be in her broadcast class.
Alex successfully climbed the second ladder to join his classmates in the press box. He assumes his position behind a camera.
He says, “So, with the press box, I definitely feel like I did overcome my fear of heights a little bit becuase like, that is pretty high up and I was able to conquer it.”

After TLC shared the clip on Instagram, fans began commenting and applauding Alex’s hard work. One fan says, “Way to go Alex!” Another adds, “YAY, Alex ❤️❤️❤️”
It looks like 7 Little Johnstons fans are very proud of the young man for being so brave in this difficult moment.
