Wendy Williams Sending Mixed Messages About Her Return?
Wendy Williams promises to make a comeback. However, the daytime talk show host may be contradicting herself. Wendy’s sending mixed messages to fans about her future plans and the reason behind her hiatus. She claims that she will return to television despite her show being canceled earlier this month.
Sherri Shepherd announced her eponymous talk show, coming in Fall 2022. Wendy had her first-ever interview in months since privately battling her health issues. The television personality spoke to Good Morning America about what’s been going on in her life. However, she did not want to show her face.
The Wendy Williams Show host plans to make a comeback
Wendy Williams finally opened up about her health after months of speculation. There have been numerous reports and rumors about her cognitive and physical health. She had to take a step back from her show to focus on her medical problems. In an exclusive interview with GMA, Wendy said she is “comfortable” and “ready” to return to TV.
Yet, she would not show her face. Wendy only agreed to a phone interview. She did not want to show her face on live television. Amid the news of the cancellation of her show, she plans to make a comeback in “three months.”
“There are private things that I have to deal with and then I’ll be ready to come back and be free and ready to do my thing,” Wendy Williams told Good Morning America.
She claims that she was on a hiatus to “spend more time with my family.” The former radio DJ said that even if she was sick, she would still host the show on her own. Wendy recalled a time when she struggled with lymphedema and still showed up to work. She’s been in Florida with her son Kevin Hunter Jr. and her family members.
Despite her setbacks, the self-proclaimed “queen of all media” says she’s coming back even though she didn’t share her plans. She promised her “Wendy watchers” that she will make a comeback. Despite the cancellation, she said she is “going to be back on the Wendy show bigger and brighter than ever.” At the time of this writing, the show hasn’t been picked up by another network.
Addresses her financial issues
Amid her health issues, Wendy Williams is also in a legal battle with Wells Fargo, which froze her accounts for months. She argued that it prevented her from making mortgage payments and paying her employees. Wendy doesn’t want to have a power of attorney to manage her accounts. Yet, she had to appoint her son as her power of attorney just to settle with Wells Fargo.
“They said that I need somebody to handle my account. And I don’t want that,” Wendy Williams said. “I want all my money. I want to see all my money that I’ve worked hard for my entire life. My entire life. I don’t lie, I don’t cheat and I don’t steal. I am an honest, hard-working person.”
An insider told The Sun that she “refused” to appear on camera. The insider also thinks that she doesn’t have any concrete plans to return to television. While Wendy’s not “lying,” they don’t think her statement “makes sense.” It can be difficult to get her show back on the air.
