Might former Counting On star Jeremiah Duggar and his soon-to-be wife, Hannah Wissmann, be standing up to his father, Jim Bob? It seems possible that they’re ditching his strict rules and doing things their way now. What has the couple done now?
If you’re a Duggar fan, you likely know all about the family’s strict courtship rules. When a teenager enters a relationship, known as a courtship, they follow some pretty tight guidelines. Physical touch is a big deal. So, often, they don’t even hold hands until they’re engaged. Jim Bob, the Duggar patriarch, also recommends side hugs instead of frontal hugs.
But now, it looks like Jeremiah Duggar and Hannah Wissmann might have made their own rules or that they’re trying to stand up to Jim Bob. Keep reading to see what they’ve done.

Over the weekend, Hannah shared a new Instagram Reel with her social media followers. It features a few special moments she’s shared with Jeremiah Duggar. In one scene, the couple is posing at her family’s home while he brings her a bouquet of flowers. Though this clip is totally harmless for the Duggars, the next ones appear to defy Jim Bob.
In one clip, Jeremiah and Hannah are sitting side-by-side, and it looks like there may be a headboard behind them. In another snap, they share a front hug. These kinds of actions aren’t typically encouraged in the Duggar family.

On Reddit, Duggar snarkers are discussing these clips, particularly the more “scandalous” ones. One user asked, “Jer and Hannah in bed together?!”
It’s possible that Jim Bob has decided to ease up on the rules. One Reddit user points out the comparison between Josh Duggar’s crimes and Jedidiah simply getting cozy with his soon-to-be wife. They say, “When your brother goes to prison for being a pedo, sitting on the bed with a girl you’re engaged to doesn’t seem so bad…”
Someone else teases, “They front hugging so who knows what other wild shenanigans they are up to.”
