WWE News: Smackdown Preview
Ronda Rousey in Action
Ever since making her return to the WWE at the Royal Rumble, Ronda Rousey has made it her mission to be the top female on Smackdown. Rousey’s in-ring appearances have been few and far between, but she will be in action this Friday. In recent weeks, Sonya Deville has been a thorn in Rousey’s side. Deville will back to back up her recent cheap shots at Rousey preps for a main event slot at Wrestlemania.
Tag Team Title Challenge
Last month, the Usos were set to defend their tag team titles against the Viking Raiders. The match was supposed to take place at the Elimination Chamber but was cut for time restraints. The titles will now be on the line this week on WWE Smackdown, so fans can expect a hard-hitting contest for the championship.
Zayn defends IC Title
It was just two weeks ago when Sami Zayn defeated Shinsuke Nakamura to win the Intercontinental Championship. In his first title defense, Zayn will put the title on the line against Ricochet. Recent reports have noted that Vince McMahon has had a change of heart when it comes to Ricochet. Ricochet is set to be positioned as one of the top babyface attractions on Friday Night Smackdown. A possible IC Title feud with Zayn could help elevate Ricochet heading into Wrestlemania season.
