‘Bringing Up Bates:’ Kelly Promises New Videos After Show Cancelation
Bringing Up Bates fans were disappointed to hear the news that Kelly and Gil’s family’s show has been canceled. The sudden announcement came just weeks before the new season was supposed to premiere on UPtv. Though there won’t be another season of the show on UPtv, Kelly has promised to share new videos with fans moving forward. What does she have in store?
Bringing Up Bates star Kelly shares I Love You Day photos.
In an Instagram post, on Tuesday, March 1, Kelly gave fans a look at her family’s I Love You Day costumes. This is their gathering around Valentine’s Day. Each year, they select a theme and dress accordingly.
Kelly shared who each of her kids decided to dress up as to fit the Bible character theme. It looks like some of the kids went all out for the event.
At the end of her post, Kelly teased, “More pics & videos to come!”
Might a Bates family YouTube channel be in the works?
Kelly has shared several posts about I Love You Day now. In the comments section of one post, a fan said they hope they’ll be able to see some of the footage from the special celebration. The family gathering is typically shown on Bringing Up Bates. But without the show, fans are hoping to watch it another way.
In response, Kelly wrote, “Brandon did video some of it so I’ll try to figure out how to share some!” While she could share it on Instagram, it may be better to share longer videos on YouTube.
Several of the Bates kids use YouTube regularly to share updates about their families. So, they could probably help Kelly start uploading videos here and there. The mother to 19 already has a YouTube account but hasn’t shared a new video in four years.
Not only would fans be able to get a peek into the Bates family’s lives on YouTube, but the family would be able to make some money from ads this way too. It would be a great way for fans to keep up with the kids who still live at home, despite their show no longer airing on UPtv. Fans already enjoy watching Kelly and Gil’s grown children on YouTube.
Fans will have to wait and see what the family decides to do. But Bringing Up Bates fans think it might be a good idea.
