Did Kanye West Spook Pete Davidson Into Deleting His Instagram?
Kanye West has been going off the rails recently with how he has been publicly humiliating his ex-wife, Kim Kardashian. Much of his acting out has also been targeted at Pete Davidson. Fans of West have even taken to calling Davidson names and harassing him on social media. Recently, Davidson deleted Instagram completely. How much did the beef between him and West have to do with his social media hiatus?
Kanye West Refuses To Keep Things Private
Despite Kim requesting they keep the divorce private for their children, Kanye has made public outcries on a weekly basis. He asked Kim to take him back during a live event, he’s made social media posts about private matters, and done everything he can to try and embarrass her.
In the background, Kim has been trying hard to make the divorce final. She even went as far as to have herself declared legally single. Instead of reading those obvious signals, Kanye has continued to spread lies and make things hard for Kim.

Some of his attacks have been directed at his ex-wife’s new beau as well. The rapper’s fans have taken to social media to berate Davidson. Rumors about him and Kim have surfaced. Frankly, Davidson isn’t used to that kind of attention on social media.
Then, Davidson’s accounts went dark. He left Instagram and Kayne West wasted no time boasting about running him off. In a post, West claimed he “ran Skete off the gram,” and went on to say, “Tell your mother I changed your name for life.”
Did He Really Run Pete Davidson Off Instagram?
Despite the gloating rapper’s claims, Davidson didn’t leave Instagram because of Kayne or his fans’ harassment. Davidson started by taking a temporary hiatus from the platform. When he returned, he stayed silent for a while. After making a post, however, he received a slew of messages, both positive and negative. Some of West’s fans also took to the comments letting him know he should “find God.” Others called him names.
Shortly after the onslaught began, Davidson deleted his account once again. A source close to Pete said Kanye wasn’t the reason though. First, the huge influx of messages he immediately received reminded him of why he didn’t want social media to begin with. He’s also trying to focus on his career right now. While most people are focused on his relationship with Kim, Pete is doing other things.

“[Pete] is in the middle of several big film projects and wants to continue to stay very focused on his work and the positive things happening in his life,” a source close to Davidson revealed.
So, Kayne West had nothing to do with Davidson leaving Instagram. Anyone hoping to see him on social media anytime soon shouldn’t hold their breath though. Pete has always been against having a social media presence and isn’t showing any signs of changing his mind on the matter.
