M*A*S*H actress Sally Kellerman dead at 84
According to TMZ, the 84-year-old actress passed away early this morning. She was living at an assisted care facility located in Los Angeles. Her son Jack Krane confirmed her passing. Sally Kellerman was battling dementia when she passed away. Her cause of death is believed to be connected to her dementia.
The actress was diagnosed with dementia back in 2017. Her son reveals her health took a turn for the worst in the past few years. Sally Kellerman’s son confirmed to TMZ he was with her on Wednesday night when it became apparent she didn’t have much time left. So, he did get to say goodbye to his mother before she passed away.
She spent most of her life in the spotlight
Born June 2, 1937, Sally Kellerman has spent most of her life in the spotlight. Her resume includes guest roles on tons of TV shows during the 60s including That Girl and The Outer Limits. In addition to TV shows and movies, Sally also dabbled in soap operas. She even snagged a Daytime Emmy nomination back in 2015 for her appearance on The Young and the Restless.
Kellerman also dabbled in voice acting in both commercials and animations including a few movies and work for Hidden Valley Ranch Dressing.
Sally Kellerman found love twice
The late Y&R star found love twice during her lifetime. First in 1970 when she married her husband Rick Edelstein. She was married to Rick for two years. Sally found love a second time when she married Face/Off producer Jonathan Krane in 1980.
