Denise Richards Argues Iconic Line ‘Shady,’ Taken Out Of Context?
Denise Richards claims that her iconic line on RHOBH Season 10 was taken out of context. She argues that it’s “shady,” but she’s not bothered by it anymore. Denise made an appearance on SiriusXM’s Jeff Lewis Live on Friday, February 11. During the interview, she claimed that the “Bravo, Bravo, f***ing Bravo” line was allegedly taken out of context.
She uttered those words during the cast trip to Rome. At the time, they couldn’t stop buzzing about Denise’s alleged affair with Brandi Glanville. Before the trip, Brandi told some of the cast members what happened. They confronted Denise about it during a dinner in Rome, which she denied.
Denise Richards finds the iconic “Bravo” line “shady”
Denise Richards said the iconic phrase during an intense scene with Kylie Richards. Not only did she shock viewers, but she also shocked the rest of the cast. Denise claimed that she was “done” with the show. She asked producers to stop filming. The actress also said that line when Teddi Mellencamp confronted her about the affair rumors. Yet, she finds that line “shady.”
On Friday, Denise Richards explained to Jeff Lewis that she was dealing with personal issues at that time. When she joined them for dinner, they started questioning her. She felt like she was being attacked. Earlier that season, Denise already had a confrontation with them during her backyard barbeque.
“I was like, ‘Oh, my God. I can’t believe, another f***ing dinner of dealing with this s***.’ And so, I blurted out what I was dealing with and I said, ‘Bravo, Bravo, f***ing Bravo,’ because I was told to do that from Kyle and [Lisa] Rinna — whether they want to admit it or not, that’s the truth,” Denise Richards explained, as quoted by People. “[They said] if you say something about your kids or say the name of a school, to do that and Bravo won’t air it.”
The Wild Things star said that producers didn’t inform her how the show works. They just threw a microphone and camera at her. When Denise mentioned her family, she wanted it cut out of the show. She added that “it’s shady, but it’s okay,” suggesting that Bravo took the line out of context.
RHOBH alum had a difficult time in Season 10
Denise Richards revealed that she was going through a lot during that season. She didn’t want to deal with this drama on top of everything else. The Bold and the Beautiful star didn’t want to fight anymore.
“It was a very difficult season from day one because I felt like I couldn’t even be myself. I had surgery, I didn’t feel good, I was in a lot of pain,” Denise Richards said. “But I still — I did show up, as much as I could when I wasn’t working on other projects, just like a lot of the women.”
She also addressed her salary with the network. Denise quashed the rumors that she got “$4 million” when she first joined the show. Though Bravo doesn’t pay a lot, she wanted to join the show because she “thought it would be fun.” In September 2020, Denise left the reality series to focus on other projects. She has no regrets about her decision.
