‘Boruto: Naruto Next Generations’ Promo Teases Team 7’s Next Mission
Boruto: Naruto Next Generations isn’t exactly following the manga these days. But that isn’t stopping fans from keeping up with the new episodes. There’s a new teaser out for the next Boruto episode and fans are eager to see what comes next.
Boruto and the rest of Team 7 come across an obstacle while on the seas
Comicbook recently revealed Team 7 has a brand new mission ahead of them. And it’s not something we typically see in the Naruto franchise.
Instead of awesome fight scenes with larger-than-life jutsus, Boruto and his teammates will have to fly under the radar. Right now, they’re focused on helping the Land of Water combat a threat that seeks to destroy their way of life. It definitely brings fans back to when the original Team 7 had their mission in the Land of Waves back in the original Naruto series.

An official preview for the latest Boruto episode reads:
“Boruto and company sneak into the mobile fortress! A huge fortress appears near Dotou Island! What will Boruto and the rest see when they infiltrate it? Rescuing the people of Dotou Island! Sarada and Mitsuki cooperate with Denki and the rest of Team 5. The operation to save the people of the island begins!”
This isn’t a plot covered in the manga, so fans can’t be certain where it will go. If you’ve been keeping up with the latest Boruto episodes so far, what do you think will happen? Be sure to leave your opinions in the comments.
Will the anime ever go back to the manga?
Manga fans tend to get a little irate when the anime steers away from the original source material. And that’s what Boruto is doing at the moment. Some fans love the newer episodes, while others aren’t quite so sure.
Right now, the anime hasn’t given any indication it plans to follow the manga anytime soon. But keep in mind that filler arcs are quite common in the Naruto universe, so anything is possible. For now, we will all just have to be patient and wait to see what happens next.
Even if the anime does deviate a bit from the manga, most fans will agree that it’s still better than what a stab at a live-action film might look like. Avatar: The Last Airbender, anyone?
