Briana DeJesus Opens Up About Being Rushed To Hospital, What Happened?

Teen Mom star Briana DeJesus revealed that she was rushed to the hospital. This took place while she was filming the Teen Mom: Family Reunion spinoff series. MTV first dropped a trailer for the new show back in December 2021. The dramatic teaser shows the reality star having a meltdown on the floor.

Briana lies down on the floor and screams: “I can’t breathe.” A medical team ushers her into an ambulance. At the time, no one knew why she went to the hospital. Some fans wondered if she had a nervous breakdown.

Now, she’s opening up about her experience and sharing what happened.

Teen Mom star talked about her health struggles before

Briana DeJesus struggles with lupus. In September 2021, she announced her health diagnosis. This condition happens when the immune system accidentally attacks the healthy cells. Briana took to Twitter to first share the news about her diagnosis.

“Got diagnosed with lupus a few days ago and I’m gonna lie – I was definitely sad about it,” Briana DeJesus tweeted.

She has since kept her fans up-to-date on her health. Later that month, the reality star took to her Instagram Story to talk about her diagnosis. Briana noticed how much her body “changed” since her diagnosis. She admits that she doesn’t feel the same as she used to.

Despite her diagnosis, she’s trying to see the positive side of life. Per In Touch Weekly, Briana wants to learn how to treat lupus “holistically.” She also shared her experience with the medications hydroxychloroquine (HCQ) and prednisone. Briana said that the latter is “no joke.”

“I was on it at the beginning when doctors didn’t know what was wrong with me and I ate all day long,” Briana told one of her followers. “I am iffy about taking it again.”

Unfortunately, it’s a genetic problem. Her mom, Roxanne DeJesus, also struggles with lupus. Since then, they’ve hosted fundraisers to find a cure to this mystery medical condition.

Briana DeJesus recently shared the details of her hospitalization. On Monday, January 31, she took to her Instagram Story to reveal that she was hospitalized for dehydration.

“I did end up going to the hospital, and they said I was dehydrated and over-exhausted myself,” Briana DeJesus wrote. “I remember the doctor coming in to discharge me and he goes, ‘How’s my ninja warrior going?’ I LOST IT. But yes, I did faint and I was vomiting and etc. lol my poor sister! I’m sorry @brittdejesus_.”
