Scheana Shay explained how Brock Davies paid for her engagement ring. In July 2021, he proposed to her with a 12.74-carat pink morganite ring. There were a lot of questions about the couple’s engagement and wedding plans. Some fans wanted to know how Brock is going to afford the engagement ring if he can’t afford to pay child support.

Others wanted to know why he didn’t give Scheana a diamond engagement ring. The Boy Crazy founder claimed that she didn’t care about diamonds. It was all about the meaning behind the ring. While Brock wanted to do an elaborate engagement party, he popped the question at their L.A. home instead.

Scheana Shay didn’t care to have a diamond engagement ring

Earlier this month, Scheana Shay took to Twitter to defend herself. She claimed that she didn’t want a diamond engagement ring. She was much happier with the morganite she ended up with. The reality star feels that the ring holds “so much meaning.”

On Wednesday, January 5, Scheana Shay answered fan questions. She explained that she didn’t want a diamond engagement ring. She was glad that Brock listened to her and got her something different. Then, Scheana responded to a fan who told her that Real Housewives of Potomac star Robyn Dixon has a morganite and thinks diamonds are “overrated.”

“I agree,” Scheana Shay responded. “I didn’t want. Diamond. Morganites are beautiful and have so much meaning.”

She also took to her Instagram Stories to show it off. She exclaimed that it fits her style more than a traditional diamond. The couple is currently planning their wedding. They hope to get married in Bali in November 2023.

Brock Davies paid for her engagement ring with multiple credit cards

On Monday, January 24, Scheana Shay spoke to Us Weekly about her engagement ring. She admitted that Brock paid for it with multiple credit cards. He asked jewelry designer Kyle Chan if he could split up his payments. The former SUR waitress wanted to clear up the rumors that someone else paid for the ring.

“I like to correct people,” Scheana Shay said. “If you don’t like me based on the correct information and full story, that’s fine. Brock thought it would be funny to put a little bit on each card. He could have put it all on one card, but he was like, ‘Oh, I’ll put a little bit on this a little bit on that.”

The dark-haired beauty admitted that she found it “funny” as well. She explained that it’s a joke that only Aussies would understand. Brock knows that Pump Rules fans see him as a “cheap a**” and so he acted that way. Scheana joked that he likes to “look for a discount” whenever they go shopping.

“It’s a joke,” Scheana added. “So people don’t get his humor, whatever.”

Brock has become a villain in Season 9 of Vanderpump Rules. The couple explained themselves during the two-part reunion, which aired on Tuesday and Wednesday. Scheana also vehemently defended Brock despite his past issues with his ex.
