Wendy Williams Still MIA From Show In February 2022?
Wendy Williams continues to be MIA from her purple chair in February 2022. Instead, guest host Michael Rapaport will return later this month. The 57-year-old has been notably absent from her eponymous show since its Season 13 premiere in September 2021. She has yet to return as she focuses on her health behind the scenes.
The comedian guest-hosted earlier this month. But, that ended abruptly as he tested positive for COVID-19. Prior to that, Michael had to cover for fellow guest host Sherri Shepherd who was sidelined for an emergency appendectomy. Thankfully, she’s doing much better these days and has returned to help with the daytime talk show.
Michael Rapaport to guest host The Wendy Williams Show
Per The Sun, the 51-year-old actor will host the popular daytime talk show starting on Monday, January 31, and into the first week of February. It was previously reported via Page Six that Wendy would make a return by February 2022. However, it’s not looking good for the leading lady. She continues to struggle with her health.
Michael Rapaport made his guest-hosting debut in November 2021. At the time, fans didn’t warm up to him because they thought he was full of “nonsense.” They want Sherri and Leah Remini to take over Wendy’s chair. They’re just one of the many stars who have filled in for the former radio personality.
Producers are testing them to see who could take over her spot. Yet, sources claim that Wendy wants to return to her rightful spot. She has no intention of stepping back from the show that made her a household name. Fans hoped that Wendy Williams would return as soon as early this year.
Unfortunately, that may not happen as she continues to struggle. Multiple sources told The Sun that she has lost that “spark in her eyes” and her “cheeky grin.” Even her “little wink is not the same now.” Wendy does not have the same presence that she once had on the show.
Where is Wendy Williams?
Wendy Williams struggles to wake up, get dressed, and feed herself. She can’t remember the names or faces of her friends and caregivers. Wendy has both good and bad days, but when they’re bad, they’re horrible. A second insider told the outlet that fans shouldn’t expect a video update from Wendy anytime soon.
She has trouble communicating and expressing herself. It may be hard to see her back in her purple chair if she’s no longer her quick-witted self. The Wendy Williams Show has seen an uptick in ratings without her. Fans have their thoughts on who should replace her.
Wendy’s brother, Tommy Williams, thinks the show is “garbage without her.” Tommy wasn’t trying to shade the guest hosts who have filled her spot. He just can’t see it any other way. Meanwhile, Wendy’s return is still up in the air.
Wendy Williams has not updated her fans since September 2021. It’s any wonder when they will get an update regarding her health and the future of the show. What are your thoughts on Michael Rapaport returning to The Wendy Williams Show? Sound off below in the comment section.
