Could Hallmark be filming the It Was Always You Sequel? This Tyler Hynes and Erin Krakow movie was a big hit in February 2021. By March, there was talk of an It Was Always You sequel.
However, by summer, Erin was busy filming When Calls The Heart Season 9. Besides, Tyler was filming a couple of movies for Hallmark, one for fall and one for Christmas 2021. It seemed that a sequel was far from anyone’s mind.
Yet, Tyler Hynes recently shared an Instagram story that has Hynies talking. Could they be filming the sequel soon? Here are the clues that may indicate that this is possible!
What Is Hallmark’s It Was Always You About?
Before Hallmark fans can determine whether or not Tyler’s Instagram story was a clue to an It Was Always You sequel, fans may want to be reminded what the original movie was about.
Elizabeth (Krakow) is a type-A who wants everything according to plan. However, her wedding planning is off because her fiancé is on the other side of town working. Elizabeth and George (Giles Panton) are very busy dentists in a shared practice.
Although Elizabeth understands, she is sad at making these important decisions on her own. Instead, David (Hynes), George’s wayward brother joins along with her as she makes the final decisions for their wedding.
Growing up, Elizabeth would hang out with George and David a lot. The guys had a treehouse that was hard to climb. But, along the way, Elizabeth and David had a serious misunderstanding.
Moreover, during her youth, Elizabeth changed a lot and stopped making big dreams. When she finds a book that David gave to her, she sees something she did not see back then.
After time together, and time with Grandma Vivian (Paula Shaw), Elizabeth realizes that she wants to travel and not just focus on the daily grind. Grandma tells her how she had changed her mind about who she would marry.
Soon, Elizabeth breaks off her engagement to George and takes time to travel around the world and find herself.
When she returns, she and David are united.
Tyler Hynes Shares Instagram Story That Has Hynies Piecing Clues
What’s this about Tyler Hynes sharing an Instagram story? On Friday, Tyler shared photos of him on a plane, outside of the plane, and reading a script.
Thanks to some astute fans, in this case, Hynes_Lines on Instagram, they took a screenshot of the script and started to put together a few clues.
In the script, there appears to be a character named Elizabeth. In addition, a couple of Italian phrases “Il Cibo and “tonio Gagliardi.”
The other big clue is a quote from Hynes himself.
And Italy. I know Erin Krakow, who is a friend and co-star, she wants to do a sequel to one of the movies we did and that would likely take place in Italy, I think.
Could these Italian phrases indicate that there is a sequel and it will take place in Italy?
Some fans have pointed out that in the film, David calls Elizabeth “Lizzie.” However, in the bit of script that Tyler shared, that seemed like direction, not a speaking part.
The script would have the proper name, not a nickname, for any sort of non-dialogue direction. Dialogue between characters could include the use of a nickname.
Although Tyler has shared that Erin wants to do a sequel, and they only did one movie together, it would have to be It Was Always You.

Hallmark Fan Creates Petition
In addition to Tyler and Erin fans discussing a possible It Was Always You sequel, fans are looking for a lot more movies with Erin and Tyler. There even is now a Change.org petition.
In the petition, which has over 1,000 signatures, they ask “To get Erin Krakow and Tyler Hynes in multiple movies together for Hallmark Channel.”
Could Hallmark Be Making It Was Always You Sequel?
Currently, Hallmark has not revealed whether they plan on filming a sequel to It Was Always You. However, astute fans who follow the social media of their favorite Hallmark stars often catch on to the news before the network ever makes an announcement.
