‘7 Little Johnstons’ Fans Grossed Out By What’s On Amber’s Dinner Table
Amber and Trent Johnston had something sitting on their dinner table that has left many 7 Little Johnstons fans completely grossed out. One fan of the TLC series admitted they loved the family and thought the photos in a recent Instagram post were adorable, but there was something sitting on the dinner table that disturbed them. Something they just couldn’t overlook.

As we previously reported, this week was emotional for Amber and Trent Johnston. Their family had to say goodbye to Joose Jeskanen. For those who are familiar with the name, Joose was a foreign exchange student staying with the family while working on his English.
Joose only spent three months with the family, but they built a very strong “familyship.” Both Amber Johnston and her daughter Emma posted heartfelt goodbyes on their Instagram profiles the day he left.
Fans noticed something bizarre in one of Amber Johnston’s photos
7 Little Johnstons fans appreciated Amber sharing snapshots of precious memories she made with her temporary son. One fan, however, honed in on something a bit peculiar in one of the photos. The photo was a snapshot of Joose Jeskanen. He was presumably sitting down at the dinner table to eat a meal with the family. By the looks of his plate and bowl, they were having spaghetti and salad for their meal.
One fan noted the family and the photos were “adorable.” They, however, had a burning question they needed to ask. It was regarding something sitting on the dinner table.
“But I need to know why there’s ketchup next to the spaghetti?” The individual questioned in a comment liked more than a dozen times. The comment also received nearly 10 responses indicating it was something fans wanted to talk about.
In response to the question, one fan noted if the OP was a “true Italian” they didn’t want to know what the ketchup was for.
Others, however, chimed in to add the ketchup looked just fine on the table because ketchup tasted “amazing” in spaghetti. 7 Little Johnston fans continued to go back and further with whether ketchup belonged on the table during a spaghetti dinner. Several, however, thought it was a gross condiment to have out during this meal and agreed it really ruined the spaghetti.

It’s true!! To each their own. While I may not put ketchup in my spaghetti; my daughter’s have and still like to dip any bite of meat, (which they always called chicken), in ketchup when they eat! I don’t see the big deal!! If you don’t like it don’t do it, but why rag on people for having ketchup on their table!! You made it sound like it was a dead body or something really awful!! Yep, when I was little I used to eat ketchup on egg noodles and others had gravy (meat gravy) not the NY word for sauce lol. I hate ketchup as an adult but as a kid we had it often. I loved it! Gross and different are not the same. Why anyone would say gross IDK not like they ate it.
My grandchildren that I am raising eat ketchup on almost everything. I have never seen them add it to spaghetti tho. God bless ❤️🙏🌹🇺🇲

No I don’t think it gross. To each his own. My grandson loves ketchup and mayo. He dips his pizza in mayo and loves it and rolls/bread in ketchup!
I agree❗ When the tomatoes in some cases are bitterly out of season, people will put sugar in their sauce… so why not use a bit of ketchup, it has the sweetness desired, yet it remains in the same category as the beautiful fruit known as a tomato ❓

Absolutely!! I use some honey in my sauce because of my stomach problems, I have a hard time tolerating bitter tomato sauce!! Not 1 person has ever complained about the lack of tartness!! But they go back for seconds!! Once again to each, their own!! There are more important things to be writing and worrying about in the world right now that whether someone uses ketchup in their food. Or maybe knowing her kids, there’s 1 of them that like it! That’s thoughtful then!! Knowing your kids and anticipating their needs and there’s a few of them.
I personally don’t think that there is anything wrong with the ketchup on the table where you pour it on is a matter of taste ì really don’t think that is such a big deal. Really!!

Mixing ketchup with mayo and combine is actually good on spaghetti! There is nothing gross about it . Everyone has a preference .
These days I’m thinking people have nothing better to do than negatively comment on anything and everything they can. Ok so there will never be a need for catsup on my table while eating Italian food but then who am I to say what is right or wrong? If that’s what floats your boat then so be it. I know people who eat spaghetti with sour cream and those who prefer cottage cheese in their lasagna rather than ricotta. Again, not my thing but so what!

My Dad used to eat plain noodles with butter, salt and pepper on it too when we had spaghetti growing up. He would boil hot dogs and dip them in mayo and eat them. Being raised Slovak (both parents and my grandma (Baba)), we had to eat whatever was put in front of us and not get up until we did. There was no waste in our house!! Esp when they grew up with very little money and taught us to value that!!

When I was a child I did not really care for spaghetti so I would add a little ketchup to make it taste better. Being grown up now I love spaghetti. My mom made the best and for a birthday one time my husband requested that my mom make him some spaghetti. Now it is something I cook at least 3 times a month. So ketchup on the table is not so bad. That is how Honey Boo Boo’s mom made her sauce. But in her defense they didn’t have alot of money.

I like french fries with spaghetti. I like pineapple on pizza. I like to eat french fries and mayonnaise. I also like to mix mustard and ketchup together and dip my popcorn in it. That’s what I like. And it’s no damn body’s business what I like to eat. The same goes for the johnsons!

Why is that so gross.?Spaghetti sauce is tomato based just like ketchup is. I often add a little ketchup to spaghetti at the dinner table as well as to sloppy Joe’s which is also tomato based. It adds just a tiny bit of sweetness and cuts the acidity.

That’s nothing compared to having pancake syrup on ours! My youngest son used to eat spaghetti and always added pancake syrup on his. I have tried it to see what it tasted like and it’s not that bad.. Everyone has a different taste than others. I don’t see what the big deal is.

In Germany it’s a common practice to eat ketsup on Spaghettis.
Ketchup is on my table for all meals….nobody’s business. Personally I liked ketchup on fried eggs, just like my grandmother did. Folks, we have so much other things going on in this world besides a bottle of ketchup. Tend to your own ‘nittin, thank you very much.
