Teen Mom OG stars Catelynn Baltierra and Tyler Baltierra owe hundreds of thousands of dollars to the government. There is good news though. According to a new report, they paid off one of their federal tax liens. During the years of 2016 and 2017, Catelynn and Tyler had a tax lien of $535,010.97 against them.

They were hit by the tax lien on November 19, 2019. The couple paid it off on December 1, 2019, according to the Michigan court records. That doesn’t mean their financial woes are gone. The pair were hit with another federal tax lien. That account remains unpaid.

Catelynn and Tyler are dealing with more than just financial problems. They recently revealed that their baby girl, Rya, was diagnosed with respiratory syncytial virus (RSV). Catelynn was the first to share the news on Instagram. She called the news “devastating and [heartbreaking].” The former MTV star shared an update about their daughter in an exclusive interview with Celebuzz.

“Rya is doing much better we are now only doing breathing treatments at night time,” Catelynn Baltierra said. “I’m doing well and my panic has gone away finally but I’m still doing therapy! And Rya has RSV but is getting better every day!”

The couple gave up their daughter Carly for adoption when they were just 16 years old. They went on to have three more daughters — Nova, 7, Veda, 2, and Rya, 3 months. Tyler wanted to have a boy, but he has been proud of his little daughter ever since her birth.

On Sunday, December 26, Tyler took to Instagram to gush about her. He also spoke well about her when she turned 3 months old. It sounds like Tyler has become a bit of a girl dad himself. He often takes to social media to talk about their little one.

In the meantime, the couple continues to be hit with tax liens. The Sun exclusive reported that they managed to pay off one of their back payments. Fans flocked to the Teen Mom subreddit to share their thoughts. Most of them poked fun at the couple’s financial problems. However, others praised them for paying off their debt.

“Honestly good for them for paying up,” one fan wrote. “I hope they continue to do so and make better choices with their finances going forward.”

“They paid it off by more than half??” another added. “Good for them 👏🏻.”
