Kardashian Business Manager Murdered, Boyfriend Arrested

A boyfriend killed a Kardashian business manager in homicide. Police charged her boyfriend with murder. Some of her celebrity clients include Nicki Minaj and the Kardashian family. On Wednesday, December 29, authorities found Angela Kukawski dead inside her vehicle in Simi Valley, which is northwest of Los Angeles. They discovered her body just a day after she went missing.

On Tuesday, police arrested her boyfriend, Jason Barker. The following day, authorities charged him with murder, according to the public records. They believe Barker killed Kukawski inside their home. The couple lived in the Sherman Oaks section of Los Angeles.

Kardashian business manager murdered at 55 years old

According to TMZ, the D.A.’s office revealed that Kukawski’s boyfriend murdered her “with the intent to cause cruel and extreme pain and suffering for the purpose of revenge, extortion, persuasion, and for a sadistic purpose.” Barker has not responded to the charges or entered a plea. It’s unclear whether he has an attorney working with him.

The missing person investigation first started around 3 a.m. on Thursday, December 23. At the time, LAPD investigators contacted the Simi Valley Police about the report. Just an hour later, the LAPD followed up with Simi Valley Police once again. They found her deceased in her vehicle, according to the New York Post.

Kukawski was a prominent business manager in the Los Angeles area. She worked for a firm called Boulevard Management. Some of her high-profile clients include Nicki Minaj, rapper Offset, Kim Kardashian, and the estate of Tupac Shakur, according to Variety and The Hollywood Reporter.

She was only 55 years old. A member of her firm, Todd Bozick, released a statement about her death.

“We are saddened and heartbroken by the loss of our colleague, Angie Kukawski. Angie was a kind, wonderful person, and she will be greatly missed by all who knew her. Our deepest condolences go out to all of Angie’s family and friends.”

The Kardashian family releases a statement

The Kardashian-Jenner family released a statement about Kukawski’s death.

“Angela was truly the best. She cared about every one of us and made things happen that were impossible,” the Kardashians said. “She will be greatly missed and we send our sincere condolences to her family and loved ones during this most difficult time.”

LAPD found Barker at a family member’s apartment and arrested him on the spot. The LA County District Attorney’s Office charged him with one felony count of murder and one felony count of torture. According to prosecutors, the alleged crime took place “on or between” December 21 and 22, and Barker used a firearm and knife to commit the murder.
