Kelly & Gil Bates Ask Fans To Reflect On This Special Time
Bringing Up Bates stars Kelly and Gil Bates shared a special post in honor of the holiday season. In their post, they talked about what a special time it is and encouraged fans to think about these times as well. The Bates parents often use their platform to share uplifting messages with fans and keep things positive.
On social media, the entire Bates family has been sharing lots of great photos of their family’s festivities. Katie Bates and her new husband, Travis Clark, celebrated their first married Christmas. Before Christmas Day, the whole family got together at Gil and Kelly’s home to celebrate. Plus, the rest of their kids have been sharing photos about their own smaller celebrations.
Now, Kelly and Gil have a special message to share with fans.

In a new Instagram post on Christmas Day, Gil and Kelly shared a photo of themselves standing beside a cross and a manger at church. Along with the photo, they wrote:
“Merry Christmas! May this day be a reminder to each of us of Christ’s love! There will, no doubt, be lots of opportunity for laughter and fellowship and games and food, but I pray that amongst all of the wonderful Christmas festivities that you take time to reflect on WHY we celebrate Christmas. It’s Christ’s gift of love and salvation that truly brings us hope and healing!”
Then, they continue, “‘Joy to the world, the Lord is come, let earth RECEIVE her King. Let every heart PREPARE Him ROOM…’ We know that the Lord has come and that He will come again! May we each be ready: making sure we have received Him as our Savior and have prepared room for Him in our hearts and lives.. in our schedules and festivities! That is the key to our real JOY! May you have a blessed and joy-filled day as we celebrate His birth and the Reason for this Season!”
Fans appreciate this positive reminder amid the busyness of the holiday season. Many are also commenting to wish Gil and Kelly a Merry Christmas.
