‘Home Alone’ Star Arrested For Allegedly Choking Girlfriend

Police arrested Home Alone star Devin Ratray for allegedly choking his girlfriend. Just a week ago, Oklahoma City authorities felt that the situation should be closed and did not anticipate arrests in this case. Unfortunately, the incident escalated. The former actor was arrested on Wednesday, December 22.

Earlier this month, authorities issued a warrant in regards to an altercation with a woman. According to the online court records, the 44-year-old has been hit with two charges — one for domestic assault and battery and another for domestic assault and battery by strangulation. The state of Oklahoma issued a warrant earlier this week and set his bond to $25,000.

The actor allegedly tried to choke his girlfriend during an argument. Authorities told Fox News that he “turned himself in and was processed through and bonded out” on Wednesday. According to another report via local outlet KFOR, the actor was supposed to appear at a Christmas convention earlier this month with his girlfriend.

Ratray’s girlfriend told authorities that he drank a bottle of wine and 10 shots of booze at different locations. The two ended up in an argument at the bar. Ratray was upset with his girlfriend for not charging fans for autograph cards. A pair of fans noticed the Home Alone actor and wanted a picture with him.

Ratray and his girlfriend returned to their hotel room. They continued to argue and he allegedly pushed her onto the bed. He placed one hand on her throat and another on her mouth. He allegedly told his girlfriend, “This is how you die.” His girlfriend had trouble breathing while he choked her.

She bit Ratray’s hand and tried to scream for help. But he allegedly punched her in the face. She broke free and left their hotel room, but reportedly returned to collect her belongings. Ratray then pushed her against a desk. The police report reveals that she sustained several injuries, including bruises under her left eye, marks under her right eye, a bruise on her chest, marks above the left side of her upper lip, and a sore arm.

Ratray is best known for his role in both Home Alone and Home Alone 2: Lost in New York. He played the role of Buzz, who was the older brother of Kevin McCallister (Macaulay Culkin). Ratray returned to reprise his role for Disney+’s Home Sweet Home Alone, which debuted on the streaming platform last month.

Earlier this month, Ratray spoke to People about the iconic Christmas movies. He confirmed that he and his movie “family” are “planning a reunion.” He said that everyone has been meeting online about it and is on board with the idea. Ratray also expressed his gratitude for being a part of the Home Alone franchise to this day.
