Raquel Leviss Gave James Kennedy Ring Back On Camera, She Is Now Healing
Raquel Leviss is in healing mode. The Vanderpump Rules star confirmed her split from James Kennedy earlier this month. The former couple took to their respective social media accounts to announce the end of their engagement. Raquel and James split up in the middle of filming the Season 9 reunion.
This came as a shock to the entire cast. Ariana Madix and Tom Sandoval had no idea there were problems between the two. Sandoval claimed it was one of the most shocking moments in Pump Rules history. Even Scheana Shay and her fiance Brock Davies didn’t see this coming. Find out why Raquel gave back her ring and how she’s doing now.
Raquel Leviss is on a “self-love” journey
Raquel ended things with James right two weeks ago. She even gave back the diamond ring he gave her. Now, she’s on her “self-love” journey. On Thursday, December 17, she took to her Instagram Stories to break her silence since the news of their split. Raquel shared that she’s been “practicing more self-love” and focusing on her own needs.
“I wanted to do a little check-in today and to thank you guys for all the sweet, kind messages,” Raquel Leviss wrote, as quoted by People. “It is really heartwarming to read some of those, so thank you so much. I am doing well.”
The Bravo star moved out of the apartment they once shared together. She is currently staying with a friend in Petaluma, which is located near San Francisco Bay. Since she’s no longer in the Los Angeles area, it’s unclear whether Raquel will be back on the reality show. In her Instagram Stories, Raquel shared what she’s been doing since their split.
“I’ve been listening to a lot of podcasts and really taking away this message of self-love,” she explained. “I’m going to start journaling and taking up hobbies that I’m actually interested in doing and practicing more self-love.”
The 26-year-old realized that she wasn’t putting her needs first. She’s been doing a lot of reflecting while listening to these podcasts. Now, Raquel wants to focus on herself and herself only. The former beauty pageant queen revealed that she’s been learning how to practice “being more kind and patient and loving to myself.”
James Kennedy is also on his own journey
James had a tough time on Vanderpump Rules Season 9. The past few episodes showed him making a commitment to stop smoking marijuana and work on his anger issues. On Tuesday, December 7, he took to his Instagram to share an update with his followers. He also shared his new journey amid his and Raquel Leviss’ split.
“today one chapter ends and a new chapter truly begins for me,” he wrote in his Instagram post. “Not sure what I’m going to do but I do know one thing, I will continue my journey without alcohol, I will find my true self and the music never dies.”
The reality star thanked his friends for their support. The couple announced their engagement in May 2021. James popped the question during a Coachella-themed event. Before their breakup announcement, rumors swirled that they ended their engagement.
