‘Julie And The Phantoms’ Cancelled By Netflix
The wait is finally over: Julie and the Phantoms Season 2 is not happening according to Netflix. As we’ve reported multiple times, subscribers have been BEGGING the streaming giant for information on the hilarious wholesome musical. Some fans even started petitions urging Netflix to pick the series up for Season 2. Still, Netflix released the series in September of 2020 and by April 2021 there was still no new update about the series. Would Netflix really cancel this series after leaving us with that massive cliffhanger? Well, it appears they would.
Long time gaps are not good for this series
As those who follow Julie and the Phantoms know, a huge time gap would not be good for this series. After all, several of the main characters are ghosts. The more time that passes… The more they are going to age and change their appearances. And, this would make it a little challenging to pass them off as ghosts stuck at 17-years-old. This could explain part of why they decided to cancel the show.

Fans are pretty upset that the show was canceled. The news came out today straight from Kenny Ortega. He went to Instagram to share the news. Here is what he had to say:
“Our [Julie and the Phantoms] family want to send our love and endless thanks to our Fantoms all over the world for the tremendous outpouring of love and support you have shown us since our premiere,” Ortega writes. “We learned this week that Netflix will not be picking us up for another season. Although our hearts are saddened, we move on with such pride for what we accomplished as a team and the family we built while creating Julie. We hope you will continue to follow us as we move forward with our work and careers. Happy Holidays to you all. Wishing you good health, love and #perfectharmony in all you pursue! Kenny, the Cast, Writers, Producers, Creatives, BC Crew, and our devoted [Netflix[ Team!”
How Did Madison Reyes Audition For ‘Julie And The Phantoms’?
Sadly, it sounds like Julie and the Phantoms is over after just one season. Fans really hoped for more, but that isn’t the case. The viewers of this series are pretty upset by the show not being renewed. Expect them to rally together and beg Netflix to reconsider. After all this time, they probably won’t be changing their mind, though.
