Kelly Clarkson Asks Andy Cohen To Marry Her?

Kelly Clarkson has no interest in getting married again. The Voice coach is still going through her divorce from her ex-husband Brandon Blackstock. In a new interview, she admitted that she can’t see herself getting married a second time. She doesn’t even have an interest in dating.

However, there is one person she would marry. On her talk show, Kelly joked that she will be “single forever.” The singer-songwriter can’t see herself making it work with someone else. Her marriage to Brandon was so bad, that it kind of put her off from men.

Doesn’t want to get married again

Earlier this week, Kelly Clarkson made an appearance on the Tuesday, December 14 episode of the Love Someone with Delilah podcast. The 39-year-old singer says she has no regrets about their marriage or divorce. She feels that it all led her to where she is to this day. However, Kelly does have hangups about marriage because of what she went through with her former husband.

“Maybe in the future, you never know — well, I do know I won’t get married again — but you never know about love,” Kelly Clarkson said. “I think we’re engineered, especially from where I’m from, to have to have that, and I don’t have that need. And I think that’s also what you learn about yourself in those hard moments.”

Regardless, Kelly wouldn’t change her life. She did reveal that she’s open to falling in love again. But that doesn’t mean she’s ready to start dating again. Kelly’s friends and colleagues want to help her find someone, but she says she’s not ready yet. Right now, she’s enjoying the single life.

“I’ve already had people be like, ‘Let me know when you’re wanting to date,'” she said. “I don’t think you have to have someone with you all the time. I really do enjoy my work, my kids, my creative self, that sometimes — I got stifled. Like in relationships, it’s hard to be as creative as I can because I wear my heart on my sleeve, so I really enjoy [being single].”

On the Monday, December 13 episode of The Kelly Clarkson Show, guest Andy Cohen made an appearance. He shared some of his dating tips for single people. He always gauges people on “what they think is funny and what shows they watch.” Kelly admitted that she’s not good with asking people what they like.

Andy brought up the idea of “boozy first dates” to “let your guard down.” The American Idol alum said she’s reserved on first dates. For example, she prefers coffee dates to dinner dates. Then she joked that she’s “going to be single forever.” Later in the interview, she said she would be willing to marry Andy Cohen.

“We should get married,” she joked.
