Iman Shumpert smoked the competition against all odds

When ABC announced the Season 30 cast list, few guessed NBA star Iman Shumpert would win. But he and his partner Daniella Karagach proved that they could learn and grow. In the end, all their efforts paid off. They managed to win against JoJo Siwa and Jenna Johnson, who came in second place. From the beginning, many believed they would win the Mirrorball Trophy.

JoJo and Jenna won’t be going on the tour this winter, but many of the other Season 30 castmates will be!

Iman will join the tour for several dates, although not all of them. Make sure you check out the tour schedule to see which dates he will perform. If you want to purchase tickets to the tour, make sure to visit the DWTS tour’s website.

Even if you miss Iman, you will still have a great time. The pro dancers are working really hard to bring the magic to the stage. Guest stars Amanda Kloots, Jimmie Allen, and Kaitlyn Bristowe will also make guest appearances at certain performances.

Viewers want more contestants with no prior dance experience

If you glance at social media, it’s clear that many Dancing With The Stars viewers really wanted Iman Shumpert and Danielle Karagach to win. This year, it became abundantly clear that fans don’t really want contestants with prior dance experience to win. Keep in mind that America chooses each DWTS winner. This year, they wanted Iman Shumpert.

Of the four season finalists this year, Iman Shumpert was the only one with no prior dance experience. In fact, no NBA player ever made it this far before. They usually have a hard time adjusting to the dance style and leave early on.

“I never thought I’d have a ballroom trophy,” Iman told ET after the finale episode. “Hats off to the work that we put in. I think me and Dani set our mind to that when we got that 40, that we don’t want to just to drop off now and just steam out of the competition. I think we just put in a lot of hours and when it was time to perform, it got easy.”
