Amy and Michael hire professional organizers
As we mentioned last week, Amy Halterman made the very emotional decision to hire professional organizers. She and her husband Michael admitted they reached a point where they needed some professional help. The episode was a bit hard for fans to watch as Amy discovered a dead mouse in the pantry and cockroaches were seen crawling all over the walls.
The professional organizers, however, were kind to Amy. They noted that this was their job to help people clean up their messes. And, they were not in her home to judge her.
By the end of their time in Amy’s home, they managed to clean and organize two rooms. Amy was exhausted and annoyed it took all day. But, it felt good to have things cleaned up.
Amy Halterman casts blame on husband for the mess
Now, as Amy was talking to the cameras about how difficult it would be to maintain the organization… She admitted they were going to do what they could to make it happen. She pointed out making sure things as simple as trash actually making it into the trash can was something they would need to work on. Amy Halterman, however, was quick to clarify it was her husband Michael who had the nasty habit of leaving trash everywhere but the trash can.
Now, 1000-Lb. Sisters fans that have already watched tonight’s episode aren’t buying that Michael Halterman is solely to blame for the messy house. After all, Amy admits that she and Tammy were never really taught how to clean growing up. Furthermore, she admitted that hoarding was a problem passed down through generations of her family.
Do you believe Michael Halterman is the only one who doesn’t put trash in the trash can in Amy’s house? Or, do you think Amy is equally to blame for the living condition of her home? Share your thoughts with us in the comments. And, keep coming back for the latest on 1000-Lb. Sisters.
Tonight’s episode of 1000-Lb. Sisters dropped into the Discovery+ streaming library around 4 A.M. EST this morning. Fans that don’t subscribe to Discovery+ can watch Season 3, Episode 5 titled “Pushed Too Far” tonight only on TLC.

Amy is lazy and a lot of Tammy when it comes to accepting responsibility. You don’t have to be taught to know your floor needs swept, dishes washed, or your dirty sheets need to be changed. Gage and his baby brother deserved a safe and clean place to sleep at night without anything crawling on them. I was hoping she would take pride with the new house but recent pictures prove its not much better and shows trash laying all over the table for the roaches to feed on.
