Josh and Anna Duggar have seven kids together, but what details do they know about his recent conviction? The nature of Josh’s charges isn’t kid-friendly, which has fans wondering how Anna has explained the situation to her children. Many fans are worried about Josh’s wife and kids now without his financial support. Others think it must be difficult for the children to be without their father and that they are confused or worried about him.

Josh and Anna’s kids include Mackynzie, 12, Michael, 10, Marcus, 8, Meredith, 6, Mason, 4, Maryella, 2, and Madyson, 1 month. So, most of them have likely picked up on their father’s absence. Between his arrest and his trial, Josh was staying with the Reber family, his court-approved custodians. The kids could visit him with Anna’s supervision, but it seems like the kids were with Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar often.

When Derick and Jill Dillard issued a statement in response to Josh’s charges, they specifically stated that their hearts were heavy for Anna and the kids. Fans have shared similar sentiments via social media. With Josh facing decades in prison, this will be a major adjustment for the kids.

Though Anna herself hasn’t spoken out about Josh’s arrest or his charges, a source close to the family shared some information regarding the children.

Some of Josh and Anna Duggar’s kids know a small amount of information.

A source revealed to InTouch that Josh and Anna’s children know some of what is going on. After Josh was convicted, the source said, “Anna has seven children with Josh, the older ones know that [he] did a terrible thing and is being punished for it.”

During the trial, the source revealed that Jim Bob and Michelle are supporting Anna and her children. The source said, “The Duggar family doesn’t blame Anna. [Jim Bob Duggar] and [Michelle Duggar], and most of the kids, are standing by her. She’s family, they’ll support Anna. … They’re here for her now more than ever.”

It’s unclear what exactly the future holds for Anna and the kids without Josh around. At this point, Anna hasn’t issued a statement and she hasn’t given an update following the guilty verdict.

  1. I think Anna and the kids will be living with Jim Bob and Michelle and she will be helping keep house clean, do some of the cooking and help homeschool the kids for her and the kids room and board.

  2. I think Anna and the kids need to leave the toxic environment. They will be brainwashed to think Josh a saint. If he gets a long enough sentence the kids will be adults when he gets out. I do not favor Jim Bob and MeShell raising that many more kids. Anna needs to have her own life and income. Raise the children to be good citizens and let them go to public school. Not school of J Bob.
