Chelsea Houska Welcomes New Member Into Her Family
Teen Mom 2 star Chelsea Houska welcomed a new member of her family. She and her husband, Cole DeBoer, got a fur baby. On Wednesday, December 8, she took to social media to reveal they adopted a cow named Todd. The Down Home DeBoers family continues to grow.
As fans know, the family has their own farm. They already have three dogs, Dale, a basset hound, Barbara, a pug, and Phil, a Great Dane. In addition to their dogs, they also have two goats named Dixie and Lou, as well as three cows — Nelson, Steve, and now Todd. One of the first farm animals they adopted was a pig named Pete.

The fan-favorite took to the Down Home DeBoers Instagram account to post two new photos of their adorable new animal. The first photo shows a beautiful white baby cow, which has a brown nose, brown hooves, and brown furry ears. Swipe right and you’ll see a video of their adorable cow in action. Todd walks around while chomping on some hay.
“Anotha one. Todd,🐮” Chelsea Houska captioned the post.
Within a day, the post amassed over 64,000 likes and hundreds of comments. The family’s social media page also includes photos of other animals that take place on their farm. The DeBoers have an Instagram Stories pin for all of the animals they own. One clip shows a cat walking around the land, but it’s unclear whether the cat belongs to the family or is a stray.
Last month, the South Dakota native announced that they added Dale to their ever-growing family. Some fans are worried about their new dog since he didn’t look in the best of health. They noticed his droopy eyes and saggy skin. However, Chelsea did not address the concerns associated with their new hound.
Teen Mom fans wonder how the family takes care of all these animals
The comments on the Instagram post were mainly positive. Other fans took to the Teen Mom Reddit to share their concerns about the DeBoers family farm. They wonder how they manage to take care of all of those animals. Others wonder if they’re just hoarding animals.
Still, some fans feel it’s for the best. They think that Chelsea Houska and her husband take good care of these pets. “I rest easy knowing these animals are not subject to hourly torture,” one wrote. Another fan praised the couple for the names they chose for their pets.
“Aww he looks like a Todd! They’ve been killing the pet name game,” he added.
Despite the news of their pet adoption, their farm wasn’t featured on Teen Mom 2. Only Phil made an appearance on the reality show. In July 2018, Chelsea claimed that production scared the animals.
“I’ve said this before but when there’s a crew of 6-10 people plus Cole me& the kids in my not so huge living room, my animals get anxiety,” Chelsea Houska tweeted at the time. “I’ve found it’s easier to have them downstairs (with giant couch to lounge and the tv on) when everyone is there. [SIC]”
Aside from their animals, Chelsea and Cole are the parents to Layne, 3, Waston, 4, and Walker June, 10 months. What are your thoughts on their new baby cow? Sound off below in the comments.
