Ariana Madix Saw Red Flags In James And Raquel’s Relationship

Ariana Madix and Tom Sandoval made an appearance on Watch What Happens Live on Tuesday, December 7. Of course, the couple talked about the hot topics that everyone’s been buzzing about lately. Lala Kent and Randall Emmett ended their engagement, followed by James Kennedy and Raquel Leviss. While neither of these events took place on the show, they will be addressed on the Vanderpump Rules Season 9 reunion.

Sandoval and Ariana admitted that James and Raquel’s split was the most shocking out of the two couples. They went to Disneyland with the couple a few days before they filmed the reunion. Yet, there were red flags that Ariana noticed in their relationship.

The biggest red flag in James and Raquel’s relationship

Host Andy Cohen asked Ariana and Sandoval many questions about the couple’s split. She also revealed what she thought was the biggest red flag. Pump Rules fans noticed many red flags between them. James’ anger and struggles with addiction are just two are of the many red flags that had fans concerned about their relationship.

“I think it was, you know, and I say this nothing but love in my heart for James, but I think when he stopped drinking and became sober there were other issues that he was not going to,” Ariana Madix said before adding, “His refusal to go to real therapy is a huge red flag for me.”

Andy noted James’ “rage and pot use,” which took center stage in Season 9. Ariana responded, “Yeah, sure.” On Tuesday’s episode of VPR, James tried to cope with his apparent anger with the help of Brock Davies. The two dive into an ice bucket bath with Tom Schwartz to control their anger.

In another scene, the two let loose in a scream room. Still, nothing worked for James. He got into an argument with Brock by the end of the episode. Even in his confessional, he let out a scream to express his frustration. In a previous episode, James made an effort to end his addiction to smoking marijuana.

Ariana Madix was shocked by their split

Andy also asked Sandoval and Ariana if they were surprised that the couple ended their engagement. The Bravo star responded, “Absolutely floored.” They double-dated at Disneyland California. At the time, Ariana didn’t notice any problems between the couple.

However, looking back, she can see the signs that probably led up to their split. Sandoval hinted that James and Raquel’s split was “probably the most surprising moment that we’ve had on Vanderpump Rules in years.” Ariana feels that the couple is done this time around. When she noticed Raquel moving out with her dad’s help, she said, “This feels very real.”
