Jax Taylor’s ‘Unhinged’ Cameo Video Goes Viral

A Cameo video featuring Vanderpump Rules alum Jax Taylor is making the rounds on social media. From the first few seconds, the reality star is obviously under the influence. Jax wishes the fan a happy birthday and admits that he smoked marijuana before filming the video. He also goes on a rant about his marriage to Brittany Cartwright and reality TV.

The fan is in love with the video. She bought it for her husband for his birthday. The fan took to the Vanderpump Rules Reddit, where she shared the clip with everyone else. While Jax appears “unhinged” in the Cameo, she says she’s loving it.

How much does Jax Taylor charge for his personal Cameo videos?

The former Bravo star had to find a new gig after his time was up on Pump Rules. In December 2020, Jax and Brittany announced that they’re leaving the show. Jax was one of the original cast members, while Brittany joined during Season 4. She became a full-time cast member in the following season after they started dating.

Over the years, fans called for the firing of Jax Taylor. They argued that he shouldn’t be on the show due to his past social media posts. In June 2020, Bravo announced the firings of Stassi Schroeder, Kristen Doute, Max Boyens, and Brett Caprioni. Jax and Brittany left six months later but denied the claims they were fired.

They teased a return to reality television. For now, fans can find Jax on Cameo. He charges $165 for personal messages. However, he’s not making a cut from these videos. Jax said he’s donating the proceeds for esophageal cancer research.

It’s a cause that’s close to his heart. As fans know, Jax’s father passed away after his battle with esophageal cancer on December 28, 2017. At the time, the former SUR bartender admitted that he “can’t even breathe anymore” after learning about this devastating news. Jax vowed to become a better father and husband because of his father.

“Unhinged” Cameo video makes the rounds

On Saturday, December 4, a fan shared Jax’s Cameo video on the Pump Rules Reddit. “My husband got me a cameo from Jax and it is so unhinged I love it,” the user wrote. In the video, he wore the same chunky knit sweater that he wore on the reality series. He also admitted that he smoked “a fat joint” before he made this video.

“I apologize. I don’t really apologize. I have a kid. I’m tired, I’m stressed out all the time,” Jax Taylor explains in the video. “I want to smoke a joint. I’m in my backyard chilling. That’s what life’s about.”

Then, he got into a rant about reality television. He told the birthday boy not to believe everything that he watches on Vanderpump Rules. Jax only showed up to do his job.

“Keep in mind you are watching a reality TV show. We do what we gotta do to keep the show interesting, so we get paid,” the former cast member said. “That’s our job. It’s not sitting around and braiding each other’s hair.”

He also suggested that they all wouldn’t still be friends if they acted the way they did on the show. Jax asked the fan not to be “mean” to him. He explained that they’re “not talented, not actors.” Jax threw another dig at Tom Sandoval by claiming that the TomTom manager thinks he’s an actor.

Regardless, Jax is grateful to the fans for keeping the show running for so long. Even though he and his wife are no longer on the show, he has a deep appreciation for it. He wanted to “hang it up” because he’s now a father and he’s getting older. Jax wasn’t into “fake-bartending” anymore.
