Chrissy Teigen Landed Into A Hairy Situation
Chrissy Teigen has been trying for a social media comeback but it hasn’t been going well. She received backlash for undergoing eyebrow transplant surgery. On Sunday, November 21, the model took to her Instagram Story to share a video of herself getting the procedure. The 35-year-old debuted her eyebrow transformation, which people didn’t react well to.
On Monday, November 22, Chrissy returned to social media to fight back at critics over her eyebrow transplant surgery. She doesn’t understand what all the fuss was about. This comes after the reality star took part in a Squid Games-themed party. Chrissy was dubbed “out of touch” for failing to know the point of the popular Netflix series.
Chrissy Teigen wants to know what the fuss is about
John Legend’s wife returned to her Instagram Story earlier this week. Chrissy Teigen doesn’t understand why people are so bothered that she got an eyebrow transplant. Some of them called the cookbook author “out of touch with reality.” Of course, this isn’t the first time that Chrissy has been called “out of touch” for her decisions.
“WHY are peoples [sic] so f***ing riled up over any little thing I do?” Chrissy Teigen wrote on her Instagram Story. “You’re gonna give yourself a little heart attack.”
She also included a screenshot of a Daily Mail article reporting the backlash over her transplant. Chrissy followed up with a series of selfies that showed off her thicker brows. She created them by transplanting hairs from the back of her head. She’s happy with her decision and doesn’t care what the critics think.
“I never wear makeup if I can avoid it so I was so excited for this eyebrow transplant surgery,” Chrissy Teigen wrote, tagging Dr. Jason Diamond and Dr. Jason Champagne.
She then showed off the “crazy” results. The television personality also warned teens not to “pluck [their eyebrows] all off like I did.” Some critics took to Twitter to call out Chrissy for the procedure, which ranges from $3,000 to $8,000 in the U.S. While insurance does cover the cost, the patient would be responsible for co-pays or deductibles.
Made headlines just last week
This comes a week after Chrissy Teigen received backlash for throwing a Squid Game-themed party with her husband, John Legend. The partygoers wore green tracksuits and competed for a trip to Napa Valley and dinner at The French Laundry. Some critics dubbed the celebrity party “beyond tone-deaf.”
Chrissy claims that Loriann Serna, founder of the event business The Wife of the Party, was the mind behind the idea. Chrissy posted a series of photos from her party on Instagram.
“Where do I even begin!! What an absolutely epic night. My dream came true of watching my friends fight to the death! Dunk tank, musical chairs, hide and seek followed by a very riveting final game of pin the tail on the donkey,” Chrissy Teigen wrote. “@wifeoftheparty you truly are the best and have THE BEST team ever. Thank you thank you thank you!! More pics to come!!”
People couldn’t help but notice something very wrong with the party. The South Korean drama is about a group of people who would rather get shot during a game of “Red Light, Green Light” than end up in debt. The series is a fictional retelling of violence disguised as capitalism.
However, Chrissy is not the only one to miss the point of the show. The Netflix hit has spawned many themes on the Internet. Squid Game ended up becoming the most popular costume idea for 2021 Halloween. Merchandise inspired by the show has also been selling out online.
