Taylor Swift found a way to perform her 10-minute version of “All Too Well” on Saturday Night Live. She was the musical guest this past weekend. This comes amid the release of Red (Taylor’s Version). The singer-songwriter also unveiled the 10-minute film for the deep cut in New York City over the weekend.

Normally, musical guests perform two or three songs on the NBC live show. However, Swift used 10 minutes to give it her all. She made good use of that time by performing the song that’s rumored to be about actor Jake Gyllenhaal. To make up for the additional time, she appeared in an original skit.

Taylor Swift performs 10-minute version of “All Too Well”

This was the pop star’s fifth return to SNL as a musical guest. Taylor Swift commemorated it in a big way by singing the 10-minute version of “All Too Well.” She performed the same song that she released a “short film” for later this week. Both the song and the music video have gone viral on social media.

Fans can’t stop talking about it. The “All Too Well” 10-minute stars Dylan O’Brien and Sadie Sink, who take on the role of Taylor Swift and then-boyfriend Jake Gyllenhaal. The raw and emotional film shows a hard look into age-gap relationships that fall apart. Swift and Gyllenhaal dated for three months around 2010.

The film starts with the quote from Pablo Neruda that reads, “Love is so short, forgetting is so long.” It hints about the short-lived and fast-paced relationship between the two stars. For her big SNL performance, Swift stood in front of a large screen that played the same video. She previously hinted about her performance in an interview on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon earlier this week.

“What if … it was not two songs as much as it was one song that is the length of three songs?” Taylor Swift teased as the crowd roared.

The new “All Too Well” is an extended version of the track from Swift’s album, Red. She released the original album in 2012. Since then, rumors swirled there was a 10-minute version of the song. However, the “Willow” singer never mentioned it until she started re-recording her old albums.

Joins Pete Davidson in a musical skit

Earlier on in the show, Taylor Swift joined Pete Davidson for their musical skit about “three sad virgins.” She sang an original song while Davidson rapped his lines. The skit included a dream scenario for three young versions of the show’s writers: Ben Marshall, John Higgins, and Martin Herlihy.

However, their dream quickly turned into a nightmare. Swift put her hands all over the men as she sang, “Ben is like a sad Ron Weasley/He looks as if Big Bird/lost all his feathers/Martin has the charm and the sex appeal of a scarecrow.” She then sings that the “three sad virgins” don’t have the “guts to take their shirts off in front of a girl.”

The writers shrug and agree with her. Actor Jonathan Majors hosted last night’s episode. The cold open featured a Seasame Street skit. There was also a monologue from Majors that has Marvel fans buzzing.
