Lala Kent Opens Up About Becoming A Single Mom
Lala Kent is sharing more details about her split from Randall Emmett. She admits that she is “completely blindsided” by everything that happened. They ended their three-year engagement amid the cheating rumors. It all started when the Hollywood producer was spotted in Nashville with two mystery women.
Since then, she left with their seven-month-old daughter, Ocean. However, that doesn’t mean Lala is keeping their little one out of his life. She just wants to start fresh since their split. She’s reportedly starting over as she’s been spotted apartment hunting in Santa Monica.
The breakup came out of nowhere
Lala Kent addressed their breakup on the Wednesday, November 10th episode of their podcast. Her mom, Lisa, joined her as well as her assistant, Jessica. The three discussed the aftermath of her split from her ex-fiance Randall Emmett. Lala revealed how she’s embraced her new life as a single mom.
Of course, this isn’t the life she expected. The couple was supposed to wed sometime next year. Randall and Lala’s wedding was on halt due to the COVID-19 pandemic. While the Midnight in the Switchgrass producer wanted a lavish affair, Lala admitted on a recent episode of Pump Rules that she would’ve been happy with a backyard wedding.
“I take it one minute at a time because a 7-month-old can’t sit around and wait for you to get over s***,” Lala Kent said on Give Them Lala… With Randall, as quoted by TooFab. “You keep your f***ing head up and do your thing. So that’s what I do.”
Lala even “liked” a social media post about the film producer being unfaithful to her. She was spotted around town with her mom, Lisa. Since then, she’s celebrated her latest sobriety milestone by herself. Randall has tried to win her back to no avail.
Lala Kent readjusting to new life
Lala Kent is no longer who she was when they first met. She said that she’s adjusting to life since their split. Over the years, she’s grown in ways that would’ve made this split impossible. She hinted that Randall no longer fits this new life she’s creating for herself.
“If anyone doesn’t fit into your evolution and if your evolution involves you being happy or healthy and there are a lot of pluses to the changes you’ve made and people don’t fit that anymore, not my issue, I’m burning the bridge,” Lala Kent continued. “And I don’t care if I end up with three people around me. If you’re a quality person, that to me trumps the quantity.”
This comes after an insider told People that she was “blinded” by their split. She had no idea what Randall was doing behind her back. Little did he know that someone was going to catch him on camera. Now, she just wants to focus on her child and her family.
