Could Dancing With The Stars Season 30 really be the last one for Val Chmerkovskiy?

The Ukrainian pro recently teased that he’s considering retirement, but many fans didn’t put much stock into his words. But after a recent interview with ET, things may look a little more serious.

This season was very special for Val Chmerkovskiy

Most DWTS pros have a special bond with their celebrity partners. But this year, Val Chmerkovskiy got someone very special. Olivia Jade was this year’s controversial contestant and most people were sure she was a spoiled brat. But since then, she’s proved that is far from the truth.

Olivia and Val worked hard week after week and really improved their scores. However, their journey came to an end at the end of Janet Jackson Night after leaving in the double-elimination.

“I’ve always been very clear about coming back on the show. I love the show. I love being on it. I am so grateful for the opportunity, is this my last season?” Val confided in ET after elimination. “Probably. Probably. I have no regrets about my tenure on the show. I have no regrets about the season. I couldn’t have asked for a better partner to end it with.”

However, he added that life is “dynamic” and that anything is possible.

“There’s no burned bridges, there’s nothing but gratitude, again, with the production, with the show,” Val continued. “I hope I’ve served the show and this show has definitely changed my life, so it’s mutually love and we’ll see what happens in the future.”

Never say never. Just a few weeks ago, we reported that Val Chmerkovskiy also said he would love to compete on DWTS with a man someday. Val could retire, but nothing is set in stone yet.

The pair leave the competition with no regrets

Olivia Jade and Val Chmerkovskiy are both sad about leaving the show but really enjoyed the journey. They’re really proud of the progress and are happy with things.

“But honestly, this has been the best experience. I’m so happy we made it this far and that we got to dance,” Olivia told ET. “We’ve said this from the beginning, but it wasn’t even about winning or losing. We just wanted to go the distance and have the chance to dance as much as possible. I’m bummed that it’s coming to an end, I got a forever friend and some new moves.”

If you’re sad to see the couple go, you’re in good company. Many DWTS fans really hoped Olivia Jade and Val Chmerkovskiy would at least make it to the finale this year, but fate just had other plans.

Hopefully, Val decides to come back for Season 31. Until then, keep checking back with us. We’ll fill you in as soon as we know more.
