Lala Kent Talks About The ‘Madness’ That Life Brings
Lala Kent is opening up since her split from Randall Emmett. The two ended their three-year engagement. Last week, the Midnight in the Switchgrass producer was spotted with two mystery women in Nashville. Since then, Lala has been making moves that are leading some to assume the two have split.
First, she removed all photos of Randall on her Instagram account. Then, she entered a Beverly Hills hotel with their daughter, Ocean. Lala reportedly moved out of their home and is still processing the aftermath of their breakup. Now, she’s opening up about the “madness” called life, which is still “precious” to her.
Vanderpump Rules star just celebrated three years of sobriety
Lala Kent has gone through a lot in the past few weeks. Luckily, she has the support of her friends and family during this challenging time. In late October, she celebrated her third year of sobriety. The Pump Rules star shared a photo of herself from her Give Them Lala birthday shoot.
In the Instagram post, the reality star shared her gratitude for those who inspired her and supported her sobriety journey. The model admits that every day is a challenge, but she has never felt better sober.
“It’s the proudest thing I have ever done, aside from becoming a mother,” Lala Kent wrote in the caption. “My first priority is always my sobriety. It comes before everything- because, without it, I am of no use.”
Some of her Vanderpump Rules friends and co-stars congratulated her milestone on Instagram. Stassi Schroeder revealed that she’s proud of her. Scheana Shay even left a touching comment despite their shaky friendship. Lala’s former fiance, Randall Emmett, took to his Instagram Story to congratulate her. However, the two don’t even follow each other on the app.
Lala Kent has been “going through a lot”
The actress admitted that she’s been “going through a lot” since their split. Lala Kent wants to keep quiet for the sake of their daughter. She shares a 7-month-old daughter, Ocean, with Randall. The couple welcomed their baby girl earlier this year.
On Wednesday’s episode of her podcast, Give Them Lala…With Randall, she said that there will be a day when she feels “comfortable enough” to address their split. But for now, she’s focused on their child. She credits her three years of sobriety for getting her through this breakup.
“I’m putting my steps into play that we work on in AA, which is ‘One day at a time,'” Lala Kent explained. “Sometimes it’s one minute at a time, and that doesn’t just apply to me with drinking, which, surprisingly, even with everything that’s going on, I feel like I’ve never felt stronger in my sobriety.”
The author admitted that she has “no idea what my future holds.” She’s relied on prayer to get her through it. Lala is open to seeing what the Universe has in store for her.
Grieving the loss of friends
Lala Kent took to her Instagram Story to reveal something personal. On Sunday, November 8, the Bravo star shared that she lost three childhood friends. She shared a photo of a blue sky adorned with pink clouds. In the heartbreaking message, the singer address that even though life brings “madness,” it’s also “precious.”
“Within 48 hours, 3 people from my childhood passed away,” Lala Kent wrote. “In all of the madness, this life brings, always remember that this life is precious.”
This comes after the tragic loss of her father in April 2018. A year after his death, she decided to get sober. The “Boy” singer has been spotted without her engagement ring. Also, Lala has been spotted apartment hunting with her mom, who’s been her biggest source of support.
