Olympic gymnast Suni Lee is having a bit of a tough time behind the scenes on Dancing With The Stars. During the Queen Night episode, her partner Sasha Farber revealed that poor Suni was very sick.

But how is the 18-year-old holding up now several days later?

Suni Lee is dealing with a mental block on top of her physical health these days

She may be tough and fierce, but Suni Lee is not out of the woods yet.

In an Instagram Q&A session, a fan asked the young Olympian about her mental health.

“Could def be better,” Suni replied. “But it’s just a lot on my plate all at one time & a lot of things ppl don’t know about.”

Don’t forget that she’s also a college student. When she isn’t doing DWTS rehearsals, she’s working on college assignments and attending classes at Auburn University. That’s quite a lot to handle for someone so young.

“The poor girl started to feel really sick on Tuesday, and it got worse and worse. We had to miss rehearsals. Today was actually the first time she did the relay because she couldn’t do it last night. I danced with a mannequin [in rehearsals],” Sasha explained to Us Weekly after Queen Night. Suni apparently kept pausing to vomit but would keep going. She performed the Paso Doble with Sasha to “We Will Rock You” and successfully made it through. But she did run off to throw up before the judges gave out their scores.

“Right before the dance started … we were standing in the tunnel, and she just kinda, like, 10 seconds in, vomited in her mouth and tears started to come out and she started walking away, saying, like, ‘No, I can’t do it.’ I was like, ‘Suni, you’ve got this. Come on. This is game time,’” the pro dancer went on to say. “And she turned around and she was, like, holding it in, and she held it in for a minute 35 and then the second the dance was over, she ran to a trashcan.”

Will the Olympian make it through Janet Jackson Night?

It goes without saying that Suni’s resilience is remarkable.

Monday night, we can all look forward to an episode dedicated to Janet Jackson music. But how will Suni Lee perform with her ongoing struggles? DWTS fans hope she can make it through successfully. It’s a double elimination night, so anything is possible.

Suni and Sasha will perform the Samba to “All For You” in the individual routine round. In the dance-off round, they will go head to head with Jimmie Allen and Emma Slater. Sasha and Emma are married, so fans hope the competition will remain friendly.

The dance-off round will consist of a Salsa to “Made For Now (Latin Version).” Bruno Tonioli will judge their battle.

Don’t forget to show your support for Suni Lee and all the rest of the DWTS contestants! Tune in to the next episode on Monday night and keep voting!
