‘Y&R’ Spoilers: Ashland Locke Faking Illness, All A Sham?

The Y&R spoilers continue to hint about Ashland Locke’s (Richard Burgi) mystery illness. Viewers assume that the business tycoon is faking it. This has been assumed for months. But it may finally come to light. If Ashland is faking it, he’s been putting on a good show.

Maybe his new job should be acting. Ashland may run away to Hollywood if it’s found that he’s not dying after all. Only Victoria Newman Locke (Amelia Heinle) and Nate Hastings (Sean Dominic) are the only ones who know about his health. Still, it’s likely that he’s pulling all the strings to fool them. Ashland claims that he’s dying, but he still looks as healthy as ever.

As Y&R fans already know, Ashland came clean about his backstory. He had no choice but to share the truth before their epic wedding in Tuscany. But what else is hiding? Is he actually lying to Victoria?

Y&R viewers are curious to learn whether he’s dying or not. Ashland plays a good poker face because he doesn’t look like he’s dying. He could go to great lengths to make it look like he’s worse for wear. Aside from the occasional tumble or sweat session, he’s doing good for someone who’s dying from cancer.

Fans would love it if Ashland went to the dark side. They think he would be the perfect villain to go up against Victor Newman (Eric Braeden). Ashland could be lying about his health to distract from his Lockeness Monster persona. If not, then his health may be on the decline.

Ashland has had moments where he’s light-headed, nauseous, or out of breath. Those have been very convincing scenes. It could imply that Ashland could have some sort of health problem. On the other hand, he could be playing into this cancer storyline to con everyone.

Health lie could break Victoria’s heart

If the Y&R spoilers suggest that Ashland is lying, it could break Victoria’s heart. Lying about a terminal diagnosis is the lowest thing that one could do. Sally Spectra (Courtney Hope) already knows what that’s like. On The Bold and the Beautiful, she did the same thing to her ex-boyfriend Wyatt Spencer (Darin Brooks) when she lived on the west coast.

What if Ashland is doing the same thing to Victoria? What if he’s fooling Genoa City’s in-demand doctor? But Nate has talked to Ashland’s doctors. Hopefully, these practitioners are legit and not lying about their medical credentials. Ashland has all the money in the world to hire someone to lie about his medical condition.

According to the Y&R spoilers, Ashland may have to travel to Peru to discuss alternative treatment options. Victoria will find out that the treatment failed and that Ashland didn’t make it. Something will keep her and Nate away from being with Ashland during the treatment. Ashland could fake his death in order to protect his wife.

But why? What is the mysterious man hiding this time? With soaps, a fake death is possible. To what extent would Ashland have to go to protect his wife?
