What would Dancing With The Stars even be without the valiant Val Chmerkovskiy? He and his partner Olivia Jade really have a shot at the Mirrorball Trophy this year and it seems like that would be enough for Val. There’s a possibility Season 30 could be his last season on the show.

Val Chmerkovskiy isn’t sure he can take another emotional roller coaster season

It’s clear that Val and Olivia Jade have a pretty strong connection. The Ukrainian dancer recently appeared on her podcast, Conversations With Olivia Jade.

Week after week, Val and Olivia continue to impress the judges and viewers alike. But their partnership is coming to an end soon. During the episode, Olivia asked Val what he planned to do once DWTS is done for the year.

While Val loves doing DWTS, he admits that he’s not entirely sure he will come back for Season 31. Anything is possible, but he feels that there’s no way he could top Season 30. He went on to say that Olivia Jade is by far his favorite celebrity partner.

“I’ll tell you this, you definitely are the biggest surprise for me. You definitely exceeded my expectations for sure, out of everybody [I’ve partnered with]. There’s people that came in and turned out to be such a wonderful season, a winning season, but — I’m not saying they were ringers, but they had potential coming in. Like, it was mine to ruin. Zendaya was mine to ruin, Normani was mine to ruin, they were amazing already and I just made some good choices for them and then just got out of their way,” Val continued.

“But with you, it’s not that easy and this season is very competitive, so it just means more. The harder the journey, the more it means to you and this one means a lot to me, so how many of these meaningful journeys can I emotionally go through?”

But no worries — Val would never hang up his dance shoes for good.

This isn’t the end for the Ukrainian dancer

Even if Val Chmerkovskiy doesn’t come back for DWTS Season 31, he will continue his ballroom dance journey. He added that he might like to dabble in the Broadway world. And of course, he wants to start a family with his wife Jenna Johnson.

Dancing With The Stars won’t be around forever and Val knows that. However, he believes the show will live on in the women he performs with.

“It will live on with you, with Zendaya, with Normani, with Laurie Hernandez, with all of the amazing partners I got the chance to share this passion with, with Rumer Willis, it will live on with them. Hopefully, you will remember this experience and be really proud of it,” he told Olivia.

  1. We have been watching DWTS for many years. We love it! Since Derek is not a regular dancer with a partner every week, we look forward to seeing Val. He has helped so many past partners and would love to see him win season 30! What a way to leave the show(if he chooses to)!!!
