Sad breaking news for General Hospital fans as Maurice Benard just took to his Instagram profile an hour ago to reveal the heartbreaking loss of his father. The GH star announced it was with a “heavy heart” that he reports his father, Humberto Morales, is dead.

The GH soap star just took to Instagram to reveal the passing of his father, Humberto Morales. His post contained a collection of some of his cherished photos and video clips of time spent with his father. Maurice Benard penned a beautiful tribute to his father that he attached to this collection of photos and videos.

Maurice Benard explained to his Instagram followers that he had a very heavy heart as he knew he would never see his hero again.

He continued: “My dad was one of a kind no one like him, those who knew him know what I’m talking about. When I was a little boy I wanted to be him, nobody was more proud of me than my father, and boy did he love General Hospital (not Carly and Jason as a couple.”
