JoJo Siwa Credits Jenna Johnson With Helping Her Through Breakup
It’s always tough losing your first love. JoJo Siwa is only 18-years-old, but she’s involved in the dating world. She recently broke up with her girlfriend, Kylie Prew after less than a year of dating. And although things are tough right now, JoJo has a great support system.
Her friendship with her Dancing With The Stars partner Jenna Johnson seems to really help her heal from heartbreak.
JoJo Siwa views Jenna Johnson as an older sister
We’ve all seen the women’s relationship grow quite close over the past several weeks. JoJo Siwa even referred to Jenna as an older sister before. When the Dance Mom star’s family came to visit in the rehearsal room, they all immediately accepted Jenna as one of their own.
That’s why it’s not really a surprise that she’s leaning on the 27-year-old dancer as she navigates through her breakup with Kylie Prew.
“Jenna has been such a support in my life for these seven or eight weeks,” the 18-year-old told reporters, including Hollywood Life, following the Horror Night episode. “She has become my older sister and guided me through so many things. I think one thing specifically that she’s guided me through is finding happiness with myself. One thing that she’s done for me is made me happy with being me.”
JoJo went on to say that even her mother is happy about her positive friendship with Jenna.
“She said, ‘I just love that you have Jenna in your life, as your friend, as your big sister because she just isn’t trying to change you. She just wants you to be you and be happy and be so secure of you.’ It’s something that I’m forever grateful for.”
The women have amazing chemistry on the dance floor, even when they’re just clowning around in their Halloween makeup. It’s easy to see why the judges continue to score them well week after week.
The duo starts prepping for next week’s exciting episode
JoJo Siwa may be sad for a while following her breakup, but she’s not going to let it keep her down forever. As we’ve seen on the dance floor, the woman is highly resilient. Plus, it’s hard to feel too bad when you keep getting perfect scores from judges!
According to the schedule Carrie Ann Inaba leaked on Instagram, the November 1 episode will be Queen Night. We don’t have a setlist yet, but it’s going to be fun to see our favorite contestants pay homage to Queen’s greatest hits.
