‘Below Deck’: Does Chef Rachel Hargrove Still Have Drama With Eddie Lucas?!
As Below Deck fans know, Chef Rachel Hargrove is still in a feud with Eddie Lucas. The two had a chilly start to Season 9. Rachel hasn’t forgiven Eddie for what he said about her and her drinking. Eddie made a lot of backside comments whenever she had too much to drink during their crew outings.
While some fans agreed with Eddie, she didn’t appreciate the commentary. She felt that the first officer could’ve come to her if he had a problem with her. The two first met on the My Seanna for the first time from Season 8. Eddie did his best to be amicable with Rachel, but it was met with a chilly reception.
Drama with Eddie Lucas
In a new interview, Rachel Hargrove addressed her drama with Eddie Lucas. Despite their drama on Season 8, she wanted to have a fresh start on Below Deck Season 9. However, it didn’t look like that at first. The moment that Eddie left the galley, Rachel cussed at him under her breath.
“For me, grudges mean that I would actually have to care and give significance to that issue or that individual,” Rachel Hargrove explained in an interview with Us Weekly. “I don’t.”
The Below Deck Season 9 trailer showed a sneak peek at the drama that’s to come. Rachel had another confrontation with Eddie about the past season. She accused him of “attacking” her “integrity and character.” This comes before stew Fraser Olender hints that a “volcano is about to erupt” between the two. Even he could sense the tension in the room.
It’ll be interesting to see if the two put their differences aside. It doesn’t look like she has moved on from their previous season. Understandably, Rachel is hurt by what Eddie said. Though he apologized during the Season 8 reunion, and she addressed her drinking, she still can’t forget what he said.
Below Deck star shares her relationship status
Chef Rachel Hargrove is fresh off her split from boyfriend Vincenzo. In Below Deck Season 8, he was all she could think about. During the interview, she blamed the Bravo show as the reason behind their breakup. Apparently, he didn’t want her to be on the show.
“I got an ultimatum of, ‘Please don’t film that show.'” Rachel Hargrove said. “And then, ‘Why are you still working on boats?’ So I was, like, ‘Well, you met me doing it.'”
Fans got a taste of Rachel’s romance last season when she temporarily quit. Vincenzo told her about the seriousness of the COVID-19 pandemic. Ultimately, Rachel returned to finish the rest of the season. The couple split in January 2021.
“We’re not together. Yeah, it took us five months to get back together – well, to see each other again from the start of filming,” Rachel confirmed on Watch What Happens Live at the time. “It took me 21 days at sea to get back to him, and before I knew it, it was done.”
Long-distance relationships are part of working in yachting. She admits that it can be “difficult” for both people involved. That’s when arguments or trust issues can arise out of nothing. Below Deck airs Mondays at 9 p.m. ET on Bravo.
